Typical British boxing fan
Earlier today I was told that I wasn't the typical British boxing fan. When I asked why did they think that some of the reasons included;
My politics are 'to the left'
I'm a bit young (by the way I'm 26)
I'm white
I don't look like a fighter
I was suprised that these were somethings that a person felt that wasn't typical of a British boxing fan. What do people think is a typical British boxing fan as I find it an interesting topic as when I go to see boxing I don't see one or 2 types at boxing I see a wide range of people.

True but just wondering whether anyone else had a stereotype of a boxing fan.Horse wrote:It seems like they were talking rubbish.ourkid1984 wrote:Earlier today I was told that I wasn't the typical British boxing fan. When I asked why did they think that some of the reasons included;

White thing is a bit baffling. Do they not attend shows in places outside London?

That's me too. Although I'm 28 and four-fifths. Give or take.

Re: Typical British boxing fan
I would have thought the average boxing fan would definitely skew older - the younger guys who would typically have been into boxing are decamping for UFC/MMA in general terms.

I'm a liberal(in the true sense of the word by the way - ie. do what the fornicate I want - not one of these lilly livered lazy-student-eco-activist types who've highjacked the word for their own agenda ;;-) ), white, 27 year old northerner, I love boxing.
I think like someone else has mentioned you get many different types of fans.
