WHAT WAS THE REAL NAME/IDENTITY OF THE (NY)KID BLACK,AS THERE WERE TWO.NOT THE ONE FROM MILWAUKEE.WAS HE AFRO AMERICAN?

I think that Kid Black from New York was Joe "Kid" Black, but I'm not positive. I do have several newspaper clippings from around 1912 thru 1918 for Black, but I'll have to go back thru them to see if his real name is listed!
