Magee should wait, if the WBA Champ doesn't fight him, there's a good chance he will be stripped of the title, knowing the WBA.

Bute is too good for him.

Magee is the best candidate out there, should give Bute a contest.

Good luck to magee but I can't see him winning. He will get caught coming in with his mouth wide open like it usually is

He has to take this fight. 35 years old, a big payday on offer against arguably the best in the world at the weight - it's a no brainer for me. Sartison is the 'easy' champion in the division but he won't fight Magee plus the fact Magee isn't in the WBA top 15 anymore. Magee has had a career of inactivity so to be turning down a world title fight to chase after someone who won't fight him would be ridiculous especially at his age. Whether he can win it is a different question but knowing Magee he will sure as hell give it a good go.

Bute's a bit of joke champion in my eyes. You've got the real men taking lumps out of each other in the super six to prove who's the best at 12st and then there's Bute fiddling about with the left overs.

Magee's an improvement on Brinkley, but his chin is not, and will probably let him down again.

There isn't much wrong with Magees chin, mate. Froch is the only one to have him down as far as I remember and the KO was after 10 gruelling rounds which left Magee knackered.

That Jerry Elliot had Magee down and looking in big problems early also - before the Reid fight. His chin isn't super strong, but it is better than people have given him credit for.

Jesus he has been down more times than I thought but as you said his chin isn't the worst in the business.

Chris Nembard had Magee in big trouble too in routine six or 8 rounder. He hasn't got the worst chin out there, because Froch is the only one who has kept him on the floor, but I'm pretty sure it will let him down again at this level.

His problem is he fights with his mouth wide open a lot.
