Prizefighter Draw
Prizefighter Draw
Billy Slate v Jack Morris
Llewellyn Davies v Travis Dickinson
Tony Dodson v Michael Banbula
Joe Smyth v Menay Edwards
I think we will see the winner of the whole thing from the Davies Dickenson fight.
and i think theyl be facing banbula in the final.
For the record i will be having a small bet on Davies if the odds are still good

Re: Prizefighter Draw
I feel the same, but no doubt I'll watch it as it's usually that which we expect least of which can turn out to be most entertaining. + it'll be a nice warm up for the 140lb'ers later that night.slapbangwhallop wrote:am I the only one that is not even remotely interested in this Prizefighter. I don't fancy Dickinson for this, seen him fight a couple of times and I just don't see him winning this.

I think it will be Dodson-Dickinson in the final with Travis boxing well enough to nick it.

Re: Prizefighter Draw
Tough draw for Davies in the first round but still fancy him to come through and win it.
Should see his price move out from 9/2

I think the fighters were numbered in alphabetical order.BIGMARK wrote:I'm not saying the draw is fixed but i never like how we dont know which numbered ball is for which fighter before the draw is made.
Re: Prizefighter Draw
This prizefighter really intrigues me moreso than most others. We should see lots of technical ability and boxing skills on display rather than knockout artists.
The former captain of the Welsh amateur team (Davies) versus the guy who beat George Groves twice in the Junior ABA final including stopping him in the first round (Travis Dickinson). That fight, in particular, really stands out in the first round.
Davies is quite a character with charisma and a motor mouth. I really hope he makes a name for himself here.

Apart from recognising all of these names I don't really know too much about any of them and not sure if I've ever seen any of them box...... Should be good then as the Prizefighters without stars have been some of the best in my opinion.

No you are not. I think it is too regular and already looking a tired brand. Up the ante and put in former world champions for a bumper pay day and it would re-ignite.slapbangwhallop wrote:am I the only one that is not even remotely interested in this Prizefighter. I just hasnt grabbed me.

Re: Prizefighter Draw
I'll be rooting for davies, nice lad and having watched him live as an amatuer and pro I think he's got the tools to go a long way, hope so anyway,I haven't seen dickinson fight but I see he's unbeaten aswell and I believe he's one of the faves so it's tough to call.
Re: Prizefighter Draw
Dickinson has the style over the 3 round distance to win this IMO.
Decent puncher and always starts his fights very, very tough first fight but Travis for me has to be the pick to win this

Re: Prizefighter Draw
Excellent point. The way the MC reads the names out it's as if he knows the matches are already made in advance of the draw.BIGMARK wrote:I'm not saying the draw is fixed but i never like how we dont know which numbered ball is for which fighter before the draw is made.
Why cant Sky have the names/number of each boxer on a side bar as the draw is made? With the betting that is based around Prizefighter before and during the show, I would have thought the Board and Sky would want everything above board and transparent. Is there an independant witness or a Lottery/FA Cup draw type adjudicator present at each draw?
Perhaps until you brought it up they hadn't thought of it or it is, as I suspect, already matched up in advance and the draw is just for show.
A simple remedy would be to let everyone know who is which numbered ball in advance.
Personally, I am bored with the whole concept, far too many of them and not enough quality on show.
