BBB of C .... twisting the rules?
BBB of C .... twisting the rules?
how come they let fighters have up to 3 fights in one night for prizefighter (potentially this fighter could be a novice who could end up in the ring with a former world champion if for instance he won his first 2 fights on cuts stoppages..which could feasable happen !)..
and what are the legalities of the weigh in for these fights, the contestants weigh in the day before but surely they are only weighing in for the first fight?
how come the referees are not wearing bow ties for the prizefighter?... this is contrary to the rules laid down by BBB of C in relation the attire of officials!!... as per the BBB of C rules of boxing rule 3.6

they weigh in 24 hours before as per usual and are not excatly going to put on any weight between there potential 3 fights are they ? and as for a novice fighting an ex world champion, i dont think its breaking any rules, if there trainer/manager doesent fancy beating any of the other 7 fighters he wouldent put them in the tournement in the first place, plus its only 3 rounds, its a great event and long may it continue !rhino222 wrote:how come they let fighters have up to 3 fights in one night for prizefighter (potentially this fighter could be a novice who could end up in the ring with a former world champion if for instance he won his first 2 fights on cuts stoppages..which could feasable happen !)..

Re: BBB of C .... twisting the rules?
The only consideration really is whether they are/should be licensed to fight a potential 9 rounds. I suppose a boxer licensed for 8 would be OK considering the breaks between Prizefighter brackets.
As for levels of competition, someone like Shane McPhilbin going in with Michael Sprott springs to mind, but it's not as if such fights only happen in PF. What about Ajose Olusegun against Michael Frontin?
And ultimately the Board retains the right to disapprove any bout, and that includes PF participation. They twice rejected Michael Holden.

Yeah but what about the lack of bow ties?!..
They are clearly flouting rule 3.6 - I want an investigation ordered and I want to see the bow tie reinstated for all prizefighter tournaments.
Ever get the feeling you should get out more Rhino?

What you think of the WSB then Rhino - what is this sport? How can they classify it as Amateur boxing is beyond me. Especially the US version - Pro judges, non-Amateur Refereeing (guy doing a great Richard Steele impression - "punch your way out of there") - I hope actually this is what we see in the Olympics, but its just weird.

That could simply be Rhino logging on in tribute to his former chum, impersonating the potato-headed one, sat at the pc whilst wearing Spud's skin as a cloak...Poncey wrote:Suggest you check again.
