Looks like the European middleweight title will be contested in Feb, but I wonder who will be standing in the opposite corner to Darren Barker? Thoughts?

Dare say this is one way of forcing Macklin's hand to relinquish quickly so they can get Barker in for it

Wouldn't it just be spiffing if Macklin decided 'eff it, let's get it on!' and went ahead with it?

About as much chance as Bennie becoming a fan of Andy Lee!

Good luck to Barker, as the above posters say, a Proska or Murray fight would be interesting, lets just hope it is not someone on the same level as the last time he won the vacant title.

Hennessey has a smashing card lined up, real shame it is clashing with Warrens [also a good card] as both should be getting tv coverage. Has Hennessy any coverage/dealings with sky or what?

I think the fact its a mid feb date highlights that even Hennessy doesn't think its going to happen. Cynic in me is going into over drive.

Its a good fight to pitch to TV companies isn't it.

Proska's a good shout, he's in training and has the European Union belt.
