James Degale vs Dmitriy Sartisan March 19th!

Post by ryan917 »

I have it from a very reliable source that James Degale will challenge for the WBA super middleweight title against Dmitriy Sartisan on March 19th! Is this too early for Chunky or another master stroke from Warren?

sartison is a bum so it wouldnt surprise me,he's clearly the weakest champion in the division although in all honesty he shouldnt even be a champion because ward is already the wba beltholder!Money grabbing sanctioning bodies

Great news if correct.Sartisan is not the genuine champ,we all know that, but it is Degale's tenth fight!A very good card if Cle-Braehmer gets confirmed too.

Wow - yes, if you consider Sartisan a champion then he is possibly the poorest champion p4p at the moment, but nevertheless its a brave fight to take against a novice and off course should mean step ups to the big boys after..... Does the WBA super champion have to fight the WBA ordinary champion after the super 6.

I don't think the super champ does have any obligation. The Super 6 winner will be a unified champ too don't forget and I'd imagine he will go straight for the ibf after the super 6 finishes.

why cant they just have degale fight for the european title though and then try and get stieglitz or something as that would make him a legit champion and he's good enough to beat stieglitz if he boxed to a plan.

if warren is linked to the klits through chisora it makes sense that degal could end up on the vitali v solis undercard.

Fair play to him.

Sartison is shit and his belt isn't the world title, because Ward has it.

Its in The NOTW as well....The Sport is not too bad for Boxing.Steve Lilis does it and is one of the best out there. The March 19th date has been mentioned a few times now for different fights so there is probably an element of truth in it.

Good luck to Degale and decent enough opponent, but this simply isnt a fight for the world title and I hope we're not insulted by Fwank or anyone else by suggesting it is.

WBA are just a joke tbh, they have three world champions at each weight really so this fight looks better than it is

I think its an excellent fight.

However my only problem is Chunky is going to now operate at the very highest level so soon into his professional career.

We'll have to see - Sartison himself is not the very highest level..... depends on what happens with the WBA situation - will the enforce the situation.

Khan didn't fight the highest level opposition on immediately winning the WBA title, and Burns hasn't since winning the WBO title.

I still think he's got a bit to learn so should stick around domestic level for a but, he definetly has the ability to win a world title so shouldn't be rushed.
