As a former boxer my self i know how hard this bloody sport is...
hope the kid does the job if anyone does it is most definetly him
he gave me a thumbs up of praise and said ' great fight mate' when i fought rhodes last fight when ricky was ringside...that meant a lot to me...
Well it's finally here. I have to admit I was one of Hatton's critics when he seemed to be happy to fight journeymen and not take on the best, but all credit to him for fighting Tszyu. I really hope he does it and wil be rooting for him big time, he's a good fresh fighter and a great bloke as well, come on Ricky.

Honeyghan beat Curry, Stracey beat Napoles and McGuigan beat Pedroza.
Now it's time to add your name to that list.
You've done it Ricky!!!!!
You were right KOJOE, Ricky does add himself to that list. Not 100% sure about ranking it with the Curry win, but there's definitely similarities with the other two - particularly if Tsyzu retires.
Indeed, Ricky Hatton was in top shape that night, now that he's beaten a 35 years old guy who is thinking about retirement for a while now, could get chopped down by Mayweather or Gatti or even... Hermann Ngoudjo :)

Exactly, this win for Hatton is right up there. A passing on of the torch although Ricky has one tough division in which to try and establish himself as the main man.
I also wonder how long Hatton's peak will be? His all-action style is not one traditionally made for longevity and combined with a liking for a few bevvies in-between trainign camps he may have more of a Mcuigan/Honeygan type peak?
Maybe we should be hoping he gets the big fights while he can?
