I had a quick search and couldn't find this topic, apologies if it is already out there...
Ok, so Foreman loses to Jimmy Young but doesn't pack it in. Instead he keeps on.
Who does he fight?
When does he retire in that case?
Does he carry on until 1997 as actually happened?
Is he World Champion in the early 80's?
Does he fight Holmes? Tyson?
If Foreman never retired in '77...

Foreman was an emotional wreck, I dont think he could have went on fighting after Young.
Re: If Foreman never retired in '77...
He would have kept losing. The aura of invinvibility had gone and at the time he wasn't able to change the way he fought. Would have retired around 1980 having lost a bunch of fights to up and comers

Yep, he would have ended up in the scrap heap of HW history.

Well it's a big hypothetical. He was emotionally lost after the Young fight so the only way he could've possibly fought on is if he would've never had that religious experience in the first place.

At the very least he loses to Holmes. He wasnt ever beating Holmes. Im not a big fan of Holmes but his style and makeup was completely wrong for Foreman.
