Fight Night Champion

Post by Shirow »

For many many years I've been determined not to buy a playstation or xbox because i know how it could eat away at my life and i really don't have time for it but i think my resolve may finally be broken

I know there have been lots of different versions which leaned more or less to arcade style games so does anyone know how this one is? Has it only got the looks or is there more to it?

funny you should post this as im in exactly the same boat as you.

I have been holding out for years but no more, once this game is out im buying an Xbox and im playing this to the death.

its meant to be much better to play than the old boxing games btw, the functions dont require all the tricky moves (which is what put me off in the first place) to fire combos etc..

One of the developers posts on here from EA Canada. So if you dig out his topics on it in other sports he might be able to answer any questions you have.

Can't remember his username

Cheers Poncey, that's about as useful as gooseshit on a pump handle.

Anyway, I can't wait for this game, and I am supremely confident that I will beat anyone in the world at it.

I had Fight Night 3 and hammered it until the death, actually the death of my Xbox which broke. I thought, personally, that FN4 was a bit cartoony, and preferred number 3. I also think that the complex way you have to throw certain punches makes the game what it is. Otherwise it'd be just another button bashing fight game, with no skill involved.

The new one looks amazing, the story mode gives a career on the game much more complexity. I watched all the trailers on youtube the other day (yes I was bored!).
