wow bit ott stevo? :o time of the month mate or someoen hacked your account?

opinions like arsoles we all have one.
I didnt know ali ducked foreman either I thought george retired? Shows how wrong i was then i guess.

Not sure all the blame lies with lewis to the man in the street for the tyson fight being late does it? Be interested to hear more...

We dont get to have the insight of a full time boxing journo, thats why we listen to you on podcastas and what not and enjoy talking to you online..to get the inside track Steve... dont think abusing the audience is the way forward?

of course could be more to this than I am aware of sitting her 6000 km away :TU:

Just seems a bit out of character to me.... :KO:

Foreman got it wrong in Zaire. In the years that followed he chased Ali and took out full page adverts in New York Times and other papers and was the subject of a front page at Boxing News begging Ali for a rematch. Ali was busy with Dunne, Spaniards and stuff like!
Lewis and Tyson was late by five or six or seven years. Lewis and Holyfield was late. And, Bowe not fighting Lewis or Lewis not fighting Bowe was bigger at the time than Haye and Klitschkos making excuses, trust me.
You need to read contemporary newspaper reports - try my stuff in the Daily Telegraph for Lewis.
Stander...you serious?
It's been a long time on here since I had to talk to such a effing dimwit.
Now eff off and look up some papers and get an education you tosser.

Adios.
You didn't mention the part where Foreman was inactive for nearly two years following the loss to Ali. :TU: It's not like the first fight was close was it?

Vitali Klitsckho has been screaming long and loud that Lewis ducked him rather than the fact he retired, doesn't mean it's true. Adios Steve!

Wow Steve, used to like you but that's one of the most arrogant replies I've ever seen on a boxing forum.

Yes, Foreman got it wrong, we know that. But it was he who got it wrong, no controversy, he messed up his chance. He was knocked out. Ali owed him nothing. Call it ducking all you want but Ali has the resume, George blew it.

If that's how you are going to address people who post then make it adios for good please.

ahh man bunce, personally the guy irritates the hell out of me!I find him entertaining in short bursts but after that he just gets annoying *in my opinion*
I've a lot of time for Steve Bunce. The man knows his stuff and will argue his point. He will also concede when he is wrong (or has made a typo). There are bigger names than Steve to attack; he is not full of himself and does laugh at himself; (something armchair fans find beyond themselves from time to time). (Steve Bunce also had the class to attend the funeral of a junior amateur boxer from 20 years ago; (Shaun Gray); that had passed on before his time + gave the subject radio air time). For me the man ticks a lot of boxes and I like him. :TU:

Nothing to do with passion, I expect all of us have passion for boxing, that's very different from throwing insults at other people because you disagree.

Oh dear.

It must be tough having to mix with mere mortals, Steve.

And when did taking out adverts in papers suddenly make someone who had been totally destroyed a worthy challenger to the man who destroyed him?

You should be reprimanded for bringing the BBC into disrepute with vile comments like this Bunce. You come on here to drum up interest in your show and then bite the hand that feeds you. Charmless beyond belief.

Yeah, Bunce is funny and cheeky, but he's come across as a plank here. If you disagree with someone then fine, but to castigate them personally because of it isn't the most commendable thing to do.

Maybe read it again.

Buncey is the one who seems to have got offended that someone questioned his rewriting of history.

Classy remarks etc...you have an opinion, express it and then people start crying. I think this site is starting to believe its hype!
Ron Stander would be a champion today - somebody posted that. What is that about? George was crushed and wanted just one fight. Lewis, Bowe, Holyfield, Tyson ...look at the dates.
There comes a point when enough bolloxs is simply enough, sorry if that has upset people.

I agree, Stander wouldn't be a champ, but come on, dude. You don't have to settle for petty, and quite embarressing name-calling. Like someone said, you pimp your BBC slot out on here, yet bite the hand that feeds you. To resort to such silly retorts I thought was beyond a man like yourself.

'People start crying'. Seems to me that it was you that flew off the handle when someone dared to question you. Cut the crap Buncey, you know your boxing but it doesn't mean your opinion rules over all. If that's how you are thinking then don't bother coming on here.

Everyone wants a rematch if they lose, you're supposed to win first time. I wasn't aware that calling for a rematch entitled you to one.

Bite the hands that feed you... that's pretty bloody patronising.

I'd imagine the fact he's got lumped in with a Hart/Boxing dinosaur thread has got his back up, understandably so.

That's twice on this thread you've told him not to come on this forum unless he's nice , grow a pair...

Nothing to do with 'nice' it's having respect, so don't tell me to grow a pair. I've not once resorted to name calling in years of posting on forums, there's no need for it especially from a position of authority. If your opinions are valid or you come up with a good case you don't need to get personal, it's for the people who can't win an argument to do that. I've been a big fan of Bunce, I just think he's better than that.

How am I being patronising? It's clear fact. He comes on here plugging his BBC spot left, right and centre, and rightly so, but when someone disagrees with him and he reacts like that it's not going to do him many favours. I look forward to Buncey posting, but that post was bang out of order.

Because you don't pay his wages directly, he goes to work like the rest of us and drums up some guests for a sport we all love and you either listen or you don't.

Look I'm fornicating sick of toe the line wankers working in the media today and if the man off the radio wants to say fornicate you I'm thankful he still can.
