That's unusual. Williams weighs more for the fight than he did as a footballer.

They usually go the other way.

Did anyone else here SBW interview about a week a go suggesting that Rugby/league was a harder sport than Boxing, not exact words but defiantly to that effect? I played the game and can't dispute that both codes are without doubt the toughest team sport, but com'n tougher than Boxing.....really?

I played every grade except first grade for Souths And have had 16 pro fights. Although i didn't play in the top grade Boxing is much much much harder no interchange or bludgin on the wing. Sonny Bill has fought 2 polukas and is moving onto his third poluka how can he even have an opinion. Respect his rugby league/union credentials but please he could wipe any top 10 Aussie heavy wieght's ass.

Some trainers/boxers can at times be quite petty e.g.
Mac Gura jumped on scales & was approx 200grams (glass of water/200 sachets of powder sugar) over agreed weight & was made to reduce it.
After approx 90 minutes he only managed to drop 50 (less than double scotch), which team Dib reluctently accepted.

For fark sake.......It ain't world title fight

Exactly. No one would find boxing tough if they were only fighting the Gary Gurrs and Ryan Hogans of the world.

Leapai/Barnett was

Yank journeyman Barnett arrived from US yesterday, was promptly taken to Dr Ron for medical/serology & then to hotel for catch-up on sleep........hence the reason he didn't weigh-in last night.
I reckon he was still half asleep when he jumped into the ring

I also watched tennis, great match and close all way, better value than the garbage down the road, then the tennis was over, guess who??? yes Maxwell Smart, he was on channel 11, could not resist a laugh.

Better than paying $40 to watch same laugh, which was boxing show. :OhYes:

Cheers

Well i know alot of people wouldnt have watched it but id watch a fight between two flys.
So i found a link online and i have to say that wouldnt have been worth 3 dollars!
All Williams did was run and hug the whole fight. And i recon if he fought a top 10 HW he would get his ass handed to him.
I should have watched the tennis.

He ran and held, in a fight, but did he get the decision (as I spit on the floor out of disgust of what my mouth has just asked)?

But in all seriousness this type of fight card and for ppv is an absolute joke and does nothing at all for boxing.
All i see is Mundane trying to help his mate get some easy dollars and i see them both sitting back and having a good laugh at how gullible some people are.
Pathetic!!
