You left Harry Smith as the WBA Champ, should say Dick Tiger. :box:
Did you not hear?? Tiger tested positive for 'roids in the post fight drug test. He was stripped of the title and Smith was reinstated to where he belongs.

Can someone explain the 2 numbers either side of 'MW' in the rankings?

Number to the left is the country code where the fighter is from. (US 234, UK 65, etc.)

Number to the right is the points accrued by the fighter for the current season as determined by the software.

Yes he did, because he won the tournament. But I admit his ascension in such a short time is staggering.

But Prizefighter was at the experimental stage, like any other pilot programme... But on-one could have predicted that startling jump in fortunes.

The best thing that can be said is that PF did exactly as was advertised... It gives a lowranked fighter a boost (and a considerablde one that that). :TU:

FYI, Hagler has made 4 straight succesful defenses of his IBF title.

Gorilla Jones has made 2, Freddie Steele 1, and Burley none.

3 is the number needed before a unification fight can be made, so Hagler is already there.

Two questions just occured to me now that Hagler has lost his title.

1. If Hagler wins a major world title again, will he automatically be able to see a unification fight now that he has met the quota?

2. Hagler defended and eventually lost the IBF Title. Does his reign and achievements score with the other boxing bodies?
For example, lets say Marvin wins the WBC Title, will he have to defend that too 3 times before getting a unification fight or is a title defence accepted universally? :TU:

If that were the case, Greb is eligible after next week if he wins.

1. No, there must be 3 consecutive defenses after winning a title to qualify. So in your case he'd have to win another title then defend it 3 times to be eligible. It makes unification an incredibly special feat this season.

2. No, each title reign is seperate from the others.
