IF Khan beats Bradley...

Post by winkveron »

....do we expect him to move to 147 straightaway? If so, what type of fights do you think he'll be looking for.....big ones straightaway or gatekeeper type fights to start with?

Just want to say that the Bradley fight will be tough for Amir, too hard to call for me personally.

I reckon Khan will fight in April, then face Bradley in the Summer, with that fight being his last at 140lbs. He will then, as mad as it sounds, look to fight Floyd Mayweather, which is ridiculous. Floyd would punish him, whether they fought now or at the end of this year/early next year!

I agree. Floyd would destroy him as he is superior in pretty much every category. That's why I think a less high profile fight at 147 would be sensible at first. Maybe another 'homecoming' fight against someone like Collazo.

I think Khan gives Mayweather trouble. Floyd would beat him but it would be interesting.

Bradley would smash Khan to bits.

I think "smash him to bits" is a bit strong...

I rate Bradley highly and think he'd nick a decision should they meet

The way team khan are going he will lose before he gets to Bradley. A lot of controversy, at a guess they fill his head with crap and he'll go in against katsidis and take a pasting.

If he doesn't fight katsidis it'll be a walkover fight and then Bradley will paste him instead. Khan is a class act, he could focus and take the lot, Mayweather included eventually. But I can't help think that the 'team' in team khan is the weak link!

Khan's a better boxer than Alexander, I think he'd use his jab to keep at a distance from Bradley (thus avoiding getting nutted) and take the decision.

But before that happens "Team Khan" need to stop being such tight-arses and pay a decent challenger what they're worth. Would love to see Katsidis but I wouldn't blame Khan for steering clear of that one right now, he's just come out of a war and I doubt he wants another one so soon.

I hope he moves up straight away. If Khan can beats Bradley without huge struggles, I think he is good enough to beat everyone at 147 except Mayweather/Pac.

im hoping he fights katsidis next, then bradley, then bang out prescot quickly, then oh lets say PBF. Floyds heads gone its only a matter of time before he looses to someone completely uenxpected - the khan camp may as well take the chance that floyds in decline imo.

Khan definitely has the dimensions and attributes to trouble PBF. Floyd hasn't faced a guy with that much speed and boxing skill. Judah has speed and ability to a lesser degree and he gave Floyd hell for the first four, until he lost his head.

i think PBF has lost that little bit of his speed as well, is he going to beat khan to the punch. Then again its Floyds and he makes great fighters look pants routinely. I personally think next year he will be ready for the taking. But if khan looses its not really a big deal or going to damage his career, so he may as well take the shot if he can get it. My guess is floyd wont want to take the risk against an up and comer.

Think Khan needs to forget about Mayweather. The only person Floyd will be clinching in the near future is Big Dirk from E-Wing.

I think Khan is in a no lose situation if he flights Floyd.

For one Khan has the tools to pose Floyd a lot of questions so even if he gets beat I'm sure he'll have his moments.
If he wins then no one could deny that it would be a fantastic victory.
If he loses it's no disgrace and he can drop back to LWW and be the dominant force and move up when Floyd calls it a day, which would probably be within a year anyway.

Bradley is a far better fighter than people give him credit for. I've watched him dismantle Witter from 6 foot away and he is strong, despite his short height.

He just outclassed a much more skillful and savvy fighter in Alexander, than Maidana will ever be.

Its absolutely hilarious that people think Khan has a chance of beating Mayweather. I mean we've only just watched Mayweather make two all time greats look as though they'd never been in a ring before. Can you imagine Limond having Mayweather on the floor? I mean even when he was sixteen? Equally astonishing is the persistence with which people comment along the line of 'yeah Kahn will beat X just by staying on the outside and using his jab.' Khan is simply not that fighter! We've just seen a crude, clumsy fighter walk him down easily and unload. Alexander got it right when he said Khan has an amateur style.

Absolutely no chance Khan keeps Bradley off him for 12 rounds. He may win, but it''l be a close fight. Hatton would have beaten any of the current crop at his peak.

Take a special fighter to beat Bradley.

Khan could be special but Bradley is so well trained, so well planned, so well researched.

I be betting on Bradley at 140.

I woul not say he outclassed Alexander. The fight was reasonably close once Alexander made a few adjustments. The Witter fight was close too.I would say Bradley is very dangerous with his head though. At least as bad as Andre Ward.

Why do people go on as if Mayweather's invincible? I think he'd beat Khan (I think he'd beat anyone) but to say Khan wouldn't give him ANY problems is ridiculous. The last time Mayweather faced anyone who could match him for speed was Judah, who gave him nightmares. And he is not a big puncher at 147lbs.

He hardly gave Mayweather nightmares. Mayweather adjusted quickly and systematically dismantled Judah.

For me,
Khan would get a decision over bradley and Alexander and would lose to Katsidis. Just the difference in styles. Maybe biased as i love watching Katsidis.
If he stepped up i think he would lose to Berto, Mayweather and Pacquiao.

Before Maidana I said that Khan would give Mayweather fits

After that fight I'm certain he would get smashed. Mayweather fights in spurts but it will only need a few bursts of pressure for Khan to unravel

Stand off Khan and he will pick anyone apart, even Floyd at this stage imo. Get in his face and its a different story.
