Having said this, and I might be wrong, the impression I get is that Hart doesn't necessarily bombared editors with "lets talk about Scott Quigg or Jamie McDonnell".

That said, you'd stand more chance of reading about one of them in one of Harty's increasingly rare columns than you would from the paper's boxing writer — fact.

Interesting there is so much call for Colin to write about Scott Quigg. Colin did a column on Quigg in December. I believe it is the biggest piece ever on Quigg in the national press.

Indeed, he often does things on prospects, especially around the young boxer of the year award. His column, like it or not, is one of the few dedicated national paper spaces to boxing outside direct news stories. So sometimes he might do the big fight coming up, sometimes he could do a book review, or a history piece about Sugar Ray Robinson or Ted 'Kid' Lewis.
OK, he got it wrong about Alexander being stripped of the IBF title, but it was good to see a Bradley-Alexander piece in The Sun. Thanks to the tennis, my preview ended up online only and didn't make the paper.
