Nice, you've certainly done your homework work Brute, sorry Bollox, but compared to Flores, Mundine is the bum.

I Thought Flores was the hardest fight for Green in 4 years.

Bollox you have a bit of hate for Green mate, the fight was quite decent, Flores can fight there's no question about it.

I don't hate Danny Green, I simply hate what he's been doing for the past few years. A cruiserweight 'world champion' that has not fought a single top rated cruiserweight? How did it ever get to this?

More often than not we down here play up fighters abilities but only when they come fight here. Before the Green fight Flores was nowhere and nobody

IBO baby, not a world title's arse hole. Never will be, and remember that ten years ago this was the sentiment of the WBO before you let some clowns talk you into believing other wise.

Green and Flores have the same problem. Nobody wants to fight them.

Have a look at some of the boxers getting shots at the more famous belts. It's a joke. Minto got a shot at Huck after being KOed in his previous fight, the WBA has two champions.

I wouldnt say he was nowhere. He was known in the US just not here in Australia. Undefeated, extensive amatuer career...I dont call that nowhere and nobody. Danny is a World Class fighter and Flores was a very competitive challenger. Is Danny the best Cruiser in the world ?? We probably will never know with the politics etc in the boxing. Fights of the magnitude you are talking about dont just happen by picking up phone and asking for it....

Ten years ago Wladimir Klitschko was the WBO Heavyweight Champion. At that time it was the only belt he held.
Are you a little confused?

i thought flores was one of the better imports we have had out here lately, well balanced., good footwork, handspeed and a good kit of punches, if he was a nobody ,what does it make green, he did nothing but backpeddle, have another look at the fight, flores was pulling punches short of greens chin,if there was one or two punches either way in each round ,green got the nod,the word is flores wasn,t here to win,the kid lost to a better credentialed fighter, he goes back with his rating intact ifnot better, as an earlier post stated it look,ed more like a GYM spar, and flores has only got to beat the fighters they put in front of him, which he will do comfortably if it is cameron, and no disrespect to cameron,i would like to see a green v flores at the end of the year.all the best

I've got a feeling you pretty much right there Patron, Flores with a couple of fights Like Cameron and a ranked fighter, and Green will have more than his hands full, which is why i'm not keen on the immediate rematch, a build up with a end of year fight would suit.

I also agree it's hard to argue the mans skill level, i personally can't remember Green marking up ever the way he did when fighting Flores. I think if you're having a look at both parties they weren't really putting the combo's together, a little bit too much respect from both parties IMO.

flores and green were VERY tentative because they both had ALOT riding on the result of their fight.

green had never fought against somebody with as much power as flores and was very cautious as a result.

flores, although fighting a guy coming up in weight, probably had never fought a guy with greens power before either. after he was tagged a couple of times he was even more cautious.

i think they both were quietly feeling that if they were to lose that they MUST be standing on their feet at the end of round 12. that way they could still go on to good paydays afterwards.

so because that was in their minds, thats why there wasn't heaps of action.

there was nothing tentative about greens approach to rjj, briggs, mundine and a few others, flores ko,s tko,s were against as someone said, nobodies, green being the world champ? fought a very negative fight,as far as green being a boxer,i put him in the tyson class, greens people put the money together to get jones over here, surely they can tempt one of the top rated boys over here, this is his only chance to back up all the hype we have been getting, but if your right about the flores fight i think he should hang up his gloves and go surfing. all the best

Green is back in training but taking it easy. From medical reports he was lucky that abscess did not kill him. It was the size of a softball. Must have been growing for years.
