Anyone know where he is now, and what is he doing?
After the No-Contest with Marlon Starling, he lost twice and retired.
I read somewhere else he had bad depression after the Starling fight, which
I can totally understand, having been declared World Champion, then stripped
when the fight was declared a No-Contest.
Tomas Molinares
Re: Tomas Molinares
I think the thought of weightmaking got him depressed. God knows what he is doing now.
Re: Tomas Molinares
Molinares KO'd Starling waaay after the bell had gone
Re: Tomas Molinares
I've seen it a few times. After the bell but I don't think it was pre-meditated?

Re: Tomas Molinares
Have you ever seen as dramatic a reversal of a decision?
From one-punch (albeit late) KO & New Champion to NC
and back to obscurity...

Re: Tomas Molinares
Carlos Maussa maybe, from complete no-mark to belt holder to nothing in a matter of months. Lasted longer than Molinares though. History will probably view Breidis Prescott the same way.

Re: Tomas Molinares
Yes but have you ever seen a call reversed like the one in Starling vs. Molinares?
Often when there is such a controversy, isn't there a rematch?
Maybe it wasn't controversial, as the punch clearly came after the bell.
Still, I agree that it probably was not intentional. They were both in the
process of swinging. It's startling to watch Starling afterward, as he
doesn't even realize he has been knocked out, saying he "can go
another round."
