I meant the interesting theory being that Prescott would be a world-beater if he was matched with a fighter who was the same height. You're essentially saying that Prescott KO'd Khan, and probably would've KO'd Mitchell, if he was a couple of inches taller, because they're the same size. I don't think I can agree with that.

I can just imagine Prescott's promotor mooching through Boxrec records looking for a fighter who is the same height.

No that isnt what im saying,im not saying prescott would be a world beater at all,he's very limited in terms of skill and thus i dont think he would im just saying that khan at the time had a poor chin and prescotts shots were catching him flush whereas mitchell who's chin isnt as good as people made it out to be was getting underneath alot of prescotts punches because he was a fair bit shorter and prescott just swings for the fences so to speak.I think that katsidis showed that mitchells chin isnt anything special in all honesty.

Now that's something I can agree with. Prescott is stupidly limited - you're right, he does swing wildly, but my initial point in this thread wasn't that, it was that Prescott wasn't Khan's bogeyman. Maidana is a better puncher than Prescott, but for the first few rounds Khan kept the distance well, against Prescott he did not. That's what got him KO'd, not because Prescott just "swings", because the Maidana fight proved that to me. If Khan went in with Prescott and jumped in with the left-hook again, then he would probably hit the deck, but Khan's a better fighter than back then - he wouldn't make the same mistake, therefore he'd beat Prescott, IMO, which was, and still remains, my whole point.

lol yeah but at the same time to my knowledge prescott is the only fighter that khans faced who's had a longer reach than him and i think that played into it aswell

I still think Judah fits the bill. I don't know why, but I have the feeling he won't be too expensive - and thats maybe part of the reason why he gets so many chances.

US and UK TV would accept it surely.

I find it hard to believe HBO would approve Witter as an opponent. In no way shape or form do I want to see this fight.

I think a rematch with Breidis Prescott would bring in the most money. It doesn't matter that Breidis Prescott turned out to be as one-dimensional as we all thought he was. Sky could just show re-runs of the Khan KO and people will buy it.

I'd exclude Kell Brook and my realistic list of possible fighters for the 16th. Seeing it from the boxing fan and Sky's POV equally. I would like to see in this order.

1. Michael Katsidis
2. John Murray
3. Breidis Prescott

Maybe I'm in the minority,

But a Witter fight is the one that interests me most of the crop.

Peterson lost every round against Bowling ball head, plus he was dropped twice by Ortiz and looks pretty beatable by anyone with a modicum of skill.

Witter is a strange style, can punch and switch stances. It's just making weight and rust that go strongly against his chances here. And unfortunately they are two very big factors at this level.

Bring over Mint Cake!

A) he can punch (so we might get to see a knockdown or two either way)
B) he's chinny (so there's a good chance Khan can put him away)
C) he's on the outside looking in (since losing to Kaiser Soze or whatever the fornicate that African dude's name is), so would probably come over for fifty pence & a packet of Hob-Nobs
D) his name allows me to make the Mint Cake joke, which would leave me living on the top floor of joy for bloody months.

Also: If Devon "Bring the Pain" Alexander can make it happen imagine how many clinches Khan & Witter'll be able to manage between them. They'll have to pay Compubox to keep count.

Also, Haneke delights in torturing the paying audience & making them squirm. Which is exactly what Witter would do. Again.

I'm in agreement with you GOmez, but I think Junior's punching power will leave the Khans swerving him like the Hatton brothers.

You tell me which British fighter would give khan a proper test with the possibilty of beating him?

John Murray
Kell Brook

I wouldnt be to gutted with Witter though, he USED to be quite fast and could bang a bit plus he would give Khan more than 2 or 3 rounds. How about a Barrera rematch?

Or FW asking him to step up and finally getting rid of "former world champion" and "was never Amazing" Alex Arthur? by letting Khan retire him?

BARRERA IS LONG GONE FROM WHAT HE WAS

Give Witter his chance surly it cant be any worse than Haye v Harrison can it? Witter has more pedigree than Harrison did and if Khan could nail him early it would give us some idea how he would mix it with Bradley et al.Or maybe that is the problem,if Witter exposes him!

l :OhYes:
A+B sounds like the ingredients for an explosive if quick fight = win for the fans
C = win for Khan's accountant AKA his Dad
D = Lol Datsue. I think he should shelve the X-Rated Holt moniker and go with Kendall Mint Cake if the fight gets made over here.
