It was my bros first year winning it and it was my second in a row. I should have won it three times in a row and if we could talk to LP (R.I.P) I should have won it a fourth but got messed over pretty bad and didnt even make it to nationals the fourth time in a row. I only say that because three of the kids in that division that year I had already beat. It is pretty cool to say I beat Nonito Donaire as he is in the top 5 pound for pound by ring magazine now. He is a nice guy and I am glad he is doing so well. He really deserves it.
Oh, please tell me that you have video of some of those days at the silvers? Even a copy on VHS tape would be cool to watch.
I have them all even the Rodrigo fight. I just have to dig them out and find them lol. They were all on VHS tapes. I will begin the search man.
It's time to transfer them over to DVD otherwise the tapes will eventually fail. Digital storage is great.

Yup. I put on hardrives and lost that too. DVD is best for long term. Hey Dennis, I met Anthony and Andre Dirrell at the fights. They were really cool and took pics with Zimmie. Leon Lawson was with them. All werevery nice. Andre is way taller than I thought! Did you ever find those old videos with him when he was younger?

Yo, DC, I beat Anthony Dirrell as well in the 98' national P.A.L. championship fight. I have an interesting story about it all too. John Iceman Scully rescued me in the locker room from Leon Lawson and a couple of there guys getting ready to jump me right after the fight when i was all by myself in there. They have totally changed since those days, we become good friends after it all, but "Ice" definately can back up this story. Good ole days.

The only boxer to ever win 6 years straight is Raushee Warren (Cincinatti, Ohio '98-'03).
Ricardo Williams (Cincinnati, OH '93-'97) won 5 years straight along w/ Raushee.
I believe that Danny Romero won 4 or 5 Silver Gloves national championships - I don't remember if they were "in a row" or not. :??

Dusty Harrison was on this list but you can scratch him off now. He has just signed a pro contract with Prize Fight Promotions and he is slated to make his pro debut in June!

I would say that Eric "Hammer" Lubin 132lb winner of 2011 silver gloves from Florida is the top prospect

Crikey, over here in England you will not find any 14 year olds with 139 bouts. What age are you allowed to box competitively in the states? Its 11 over here.
