British boxing can well do without Owoh's hot air and title demands.

Don't be suprised if Williams gets beat tomorrow night- he doesn't look good on the back foot and Turba is an under-rated big hitter with a good chin and fair stamina. Hope sky show this one.

He was quite useful at 168 but a couple of losses to top ten guys set him back and he never really got back into it.

Perhaps.

WBO rankings are generally a bit silly, particularly round that period. They rated a dead guy FFS.

That period probably marked a nadir for the WBO at middleweight - Too many obscure, mediocre top ten middleweights who never really got a sniff of another belt. I know Bradley was looking good at one point before injury (detached retinas) caused him to retire then you had Otis Grant, Schenk, Matthews, Kranjc et al. I think Kranjc had a fight up at 168 with Ottke and Grant skipped super middle to get a drubbing from Roy Jones. Sturm would hold the same belt but has held/lost/held the WBA title for what seems like forever.

Bradley was probably the pick of the bunch but that's damning with faint praise. Kranjc even vacated his title at one point, tells you what he thought of it, I guess.

The WBO was definitely the poor relation of the big four at this point.

Remember OJ ringing me asking me to do his corner, said where Cardiff was the reply. Who you got Freeman Barr, probably fighing Calzagie next He is no,1 contender, okay I said. Watched Him shadow before the fight and knew his right shoulder was knackered. Told Ojay, the 1st thing you do is Hit him as hard as you can on his right shoulder, youll have an easy night.

I reckon Owoh would give Leon a boxing lesson. If Williams is really scared of a 38 year old on the comeback trail he cant have much of a future. Seen Leon box a few times, I cant see how he would beat Owoh.

Guess if this match isnt made now we know Owoh is right and Williams is scared to box him.

This match in my opinion is good for both boxers. Would give Williams "a name if he won". If Owoh couldnt beat Williams he may as well retire now but if he beats Williams propels him to a crack at the British title.

Be a good match up.

Toks was never the same after Glen Johnson took him to school way back and he always talked a good fight. Liked him, real character and could have done better. Don't see him doing much at 38! Blimey how the years fly!!!
