Post by hhascup »

I am looking for as many Amateurs who fought for 2 or more Nations during their career. Also 3 or more including their Pro career.

Fury tried to box in the Irish championships to get on their Olympic team but IABA would not let him fight as he was a British citizen at the time and could not prove he was a resident of NI/Ireland.

Good list loco.

I wander what happened to Keith Tapia. He had talent and personality. I thought he was going to be the next Ali. He was the outstanding boxer at a junior tournament in Baku. He would be up in the stands entertaining the local fans. They loved him plus he could box. I know he tried to make the PR Olympic team but he lived in NYC and last I heard, he was running the streets. I hope he makes it back into the ring one day.

Great list!

Here's a few more, Jurgen Schlegel fought for Germany & East Germany and Abdelh Khallaf Allah fought for United Arab Republic & Egypt. They both represented those Nations in the Olympics.

Jerson Ravelo was our Amateur Boxer of the Year in New Jersey and he was also a National Golden Glove Champion.
