Post by Lenny »

Well, lets right that wrong...

After a short break, it has started up again

Any more chance of it happening in July? Anyone not bored yet?

Is the July 2nd date realistic given that he is fighting Chisora on the 30th April? Haye should call his bluff and accept that date, otherwise it's not going to happen by the looks of it.

It ain't a bluff. Wlad knows that Chisora will barely land a single punch and be dispatched with ease. It's the prefect tune up for Wlad. My only question about it is why did Haye NOT want him to have a tune up?

wlad got injured punching a bag, its 100 times more likely he could get injured against chisora.

I agree Haye should call his bluff and then wlad can either put up or shut up.

Theres no guarantees in boxing and wlad ends up making any fight last 8 rounds, it wouldnt suprise me if chisora managed to last into the later rounds just through sheer guts and youth.

Wlad is being disrespectful to chisora by looking past him, and is plain insane if he doesnt think Haye is a fighter he needs to prepare for correctly.

I see booth has released a statment saying wlad is talking utter rubbish and his managemnet team havent been in contact since december.

I personally think wlad is milking the july 2nd date issue just to avoid fighting, if he's that bothered and is happy to fight in germany or the uk as he is now stating why didnt he bypass the chisora fight and agree to fight haye in may or june?

Wlad's argument is that he doesn't want to risk Haye pulling out and leaving him not having had a fight in over 9 months. Specious perhaps and maybe the whole point of the Chisora fight is so he can pick up an injury and have to delay the Haye fight. Of course since he in no way has to fight Haye that does seem a little pointless.

What I don't understad is why Haye won't sign on the July 2nd date. The money is the same, the venue and everything. In fact he has said he would be willing to fight if Wlad wasn't fighting Chisora. The only reason I could think of is that Haye reckons it would look like Wlad is taking him too lightly (to fight him so soon after another fight) and Haye's pride can't take that.

If Haye signs the fight and Wlad pulls out for any reason Haye is still no worse off. Tell someone like Chagaev that they are reserve if Wlad pulls out. Have them on the undercard and they will probably agree. Worst comes and Wlad pulls out he goes ahead witha big bill against a good fighter. Best result is he fights Wlad, beats him, and having had Chagaev fight on the undercard it sets it up for a fight between the two of them.

Thats not the stupidest reason for a fight not to happen....probably.

I think it's highly unlikely that either Klitschko is ducking Haye. If Haye hadn't pulled out he'd have faced Wlad and if he hadn't dropped out of negotiations and opt for the easier Valuev route he'd have faced Vitali.
