Tiger Jack Fox Discrepancies

I have a number of day-after newspaper acoounts that conflict somewhat with what Matthias entered for Fox, circa early 1934.
I have:
1) Jan. 15, 1934 KO-3 Battling Mamoreaux (likely a misspelling for Lemorieaux) @ Preston, Idaho.
2) Jan. 25 KO-1 Jack Riley @ Idaho Falls, ID.
3) Jan. 29 W-10 Houston Ash @ Preston, ID.

Those probably came from the Old Ring Record Books. Take newspapers any day over that.

Judging by the the 01/15, 01/25 dates it came from CBZ, where all the '34 bouts are undated.

Actually, Robin, the 1/15 & 1/25 dates are bout dates taken from the newspaper.
Edit: Oh, I see what you mean, Robin. Many of the bouts in Fox's record during this time are all on the 1st or 15th, indicating exact dates unknown.
(If this is the case, I wish ALL editors would make a comment to this effect in the bout, so that when someday someone like me comes along with a documented date, the bout can be edited, rather than confused with what is presumed to be a valid date.)
What a coincidence. Two of the bouts I confirmed occurred on the 15th and 25th. :)
2nd Edit: I now see that a note that "exact dates for all 1934 bouts uncertain" was placed within one of the last 1934 bouts. I hadn't bothered to read it when glancing thru Fox's record. I'll make notes for each bout. It may look redundant when reading Fox's record, but not when reading the opponents' records/bouts. Plus, that comment of all dates for 1934 being uncertain is now incorrect, as I have located dates for three. Leaving that comment in is misleading, as visitors would think that the three correct dates I located were still uncertain/wrong.

I'll make a note to confirm the Preston, Idaho locations for two of the early 1934 bouts my newspaper source (EVERETT DAILY HERALD) specifies. I'll check Seattle and a Spokane paper soon (I'll soon have access to a Spokane paper soon) to seee if I can locate & confirm all 1934 bouts.

Mickey McFarland bout, confirmed date: Oct. 16 @ Portland (not Oakland).

Barry, which George Dixon would this be. The May 11 date does not quite fit in location-wise with Quenton - it's a day or so apart from a west coast bout. Also, do you have an exact date for the June Wright bout?

I'm not sure on either bout that you mentioned and I don't recall where I located the bouts (if I did) so I'd say leave those two fights out until they can be verified!
