To my Fellow Sim Players....
To my Fellow Sim Players....
I know I just recently shared a sad moment in my life with you (my fellow fantasy league enthusiasts) with the passing of my Step Dad.
I was moved by your well wishes from those who I have casually come to know on this forum. And these sorts of things in life do happen, and we are for the most part prepared, because as we know, as wonderful as life is, it is not forever. In fact that is what make it precious.
But I am not, and could never possibly be prepared for the news that my beautiful bride of nearly 30 years and the mother of my remarkable 10 year old girl is facing terminal cancer.
It is heartbreaking, and gut wrenching beyond the most brutal beating anyone could endure or even possibly imagine. This is the first round, and like Archie Moore vs Durelle I pray that we get up from this knockdown, and somehow take this into the late rounds and win.
In short I'm praying for a miracle.
Though I play the role of a rather dispicible jerk here on the sim, I assure you I would give any good man or woman the shirt off my back if they needed it.
I ask for your prayers, or your good energy, or whatever is your way to help others at a distance, those whom you do not know that well, yet recognize that they have a need.
I, (as Archie must have believed in that first round vs Durelle) believe in miracles, if you send your good thoughts, prayers and or energy my way, I will be forever grateful for you kindness. The outcome may not be guaranteed, but on the chance/hope that it would be your good thought that tipped the balance in this sometimes miraculous universe, I ask for such consideration.
I will continue to participate here....and I will attempt to keep my humor. But this is a life changer even for a fella who has seen a lot in his time.
I have steel in my spine and am ready for this whatever God/Nature/the universe may have in store....And at this time I send each and everyone of you out my personal best prayers that none of you ever experience anything remotely related to what I have just described. Though I understand in full humility that some of you surely have, and so already know such pain..... and/or someday will. And that I'm simply another soul on this shared journey of life, with all it's magnificence, and all it's heartache.
I send you each my best
Thanks fellas.

I'm so sorry, Buzz. If there was anything I could do apart from wish you all the luck in the world, I'd do it. I hope there's a good outcome, I really do.
Re: To my Fellow Sim Players....
Fellas, we just won round 1!!!!
My wife just had a lesion extracted from her cranium the size of a lemon, and she has suffered NO NEURO DAMAGE!!! With the miracle of new technology, they didn't even have to cut her beautiful hair to accomplish this! As Paul Simon put it "These are the days of Miracles and Wonder".
This is purely a miracle, and I believe it would not, could not have been done without the prayers/good wishes of so many who have wished us well in this journey. I can not thank you enough for your generosity when it comes to your prayers and good wishes.
However this is just round 1.....with the surgery out of the way, she will prepare for the full 15 rounds of chemo. Please if you will, and you have the time, keep her/us in your thoughts and prayers......because we feel and have now experienced first hand their incredible power!
