Hatton vs Alvarez for WBC world title???
Boxrec are advertising this fight for the vacant WBC world title, but I cannot find any confirmation of this anywhere. Anyone got any news on this or is it still for the Silver title as per the original announcement???

De La Hoya has asked the WBC (Who meet next week) to sanction this for Pacmans vacated belt, Sulaiman has said he will put it to the committee and give a decisionstevek3lly wrote:Boxrec are advertising this fight for the vacant WBC world title, but I cannot find any confirmation of this anywhere. during next week. Alvarez is already the Silver title holder at light middle for the WBC so I believe that makes him elegible for the vacant title fight, its just a case of whether
they will approve Hatton, you have to assume this has probably been on the agenda all along really and thats why Hatton took what most of us felt was a really strange step.
He is obviously giving it a go and getting a world title shot for what most consider the most prestigious belt.
Alvarez ko for me before half way.

so hatton is moving up to light middle?GLOBALBOX wrote:De La Hoya has asked the WBC (Who meet next week) to sanction this for Pacmans vacated belt, Sulaiman has said he will put it to the committee and give a decisionstevek3lly wrote:Boxrec are advertising this fight for the vacant WBC world title, but I cannot find any confirmation of this anywhere. If he gets the fight ok'd presumably he will, although nothing coming out of the Hatton camp but presumably they are not against the idea.Adamj1987 wrote:so hatton is moving up to light middle?GLOBALBOX wrote:De La Hoya has asked the WBC (Who meet next week) to sanction this for Pacmans vacated belt, Sulaiman has said he will put it to the committee and give a decisionstevek3lly wrote:Boxrec are advertising this fight for the vacant WBC world title, but I cannot find any confirmation of this anywhere. That would be a complete joke if Matt Hattin got a title shot ahead of Ryan Rhodes!

i like hatton domestically and you sure have got to test yourself when u get the chance. BUT i think Alvarez is destined to be a P4P great and will win this fight. However Matts style will always cause good fighters a problem, but IMO he will lose this fight. I hope im wrong

no im talking globally, hattons name has a much bigger reach out, people in the US are aware of hattons brother not ryan rhodes. Im not agreeing that this is right by the way.

Matthew Hatton has proved me wrong on a number of occasions - I just dont rate him and never have beyond domestic level.
However he has proved many others wrong to by doing what he has.
With that said I honestly think fights at world level are way way beyond him.

Re: Hatton vs Alvarez for WBC world title???
Shocking its for the World title in all honesty, I don't think Alverez could imagine fighting such an unproven fighter (at world level) for his first title fight. Similarly, I don't think Matthew could imagine fighting such an unproven fighter in a world title fight.
