Frankly I don't know, but all I do know is that whenever I pick someone over Ruiz he seems to find a way to beat all but the better skilled fighters. I sincerely hope Valuev batters him thoughnickd wrote:How on earth is Ruiz going to jab and grab a guy that big? Valuev will throw him all over the place.
Nicolay Valuev on Eurosport.

Poor old Valuev, he's not really that bad, has a damn sight more skill and coordination that a lot of the 6"7 guys out there. But somehow he looks destined to come crashing down in a heap one day soon. He's not a natural fighter.
Having said that I can't for the life of me work out whether John Ruiz would win easily or lose miserably. Or maybe he'd just win miserably.
Anyway come on big man!

they need to make him shave his arm and back hair too, could open cuts
in seroiousness he seems a like a real gentle giant. I just htink when there is someone who can negate the size differential he will get beat and take a systematic beaintg (like williams did) having said that i can only see vitali doing so at the moment.

The guy is a beast in every sense of the word, i just couldn't believe how big he was as this was my first live viewing of him, he looked like a right nasty Saturday night pub bouncer but at the end came across as a gentle giant even helping Etienne back up. Watching Etienne storm across the ring trying to whale away at him and have Valuev manhandle him was comic stuff alright, but the thing was Valuev looked decent, he is so big it will be interesting to see him step up in class. It is clear he has some basic ability and is not in the Tye Fields freak show category.
When Valuev turned and pushed Etienne over it was like two drunks on a saturday night, me and my old man were laughing our heads off, it didn't seem Etienne wanted much of it at the start, he walked the wrong way out of the dressing room!
And what was with that Chinese bird miming a song at the beginning? Does he have that every fight?

I think I've seen 5 or 6 of his fights, but missed last nights.
