Light Middleweight
1. Ryan Rhodes - Above British level
2. Sam Webb - British champion
3. Craig Watson - Fighting for British Welterweight title
4. Anthony Small - Retired
5. Matthew Hall - Retired?
6. Prince Arron
7. Bradley Pryce
8. Max Maxwell
9. Brian Rose - English champion
10. Martin Concepcion - Lost to Webb recently
You might disagree with my rough top 10, but I think it is fairly accurate. Looking at those rankings I don't think there would be anything wrong with Pryce getting a shot at the title, although it would be better if he got a win beforehand.
it's a loss it aint the end of the world :!: it seemed close enough, both are good fighters shedding rust etc. pryce either goes back to the gym were he prolongs his career or goes down the boozer with his phone open to call's.he will deffo get more fights now people thinking he's soft.

its def back to gym,im hoping for rematch to put record right,i was boxing at light-middle then with 3 days to go i was told needed to get down to welter to box lynes, yes it is excuses but i do believe the weight loss took its toll.im confident of beating lynes convincinly with enough notice,if chance is still there to box winner of webb, aaron id be happy to take it,i hope to get the rematch in may.
guys, I was in no doubt of a Lynes victory against Pryce. Ive seen sugar sweets post re the weight thing but he was fully ready for a title, Lynes was only meant to have a 6 rounder. Lynes is underestimated and has had been in against quality opposition. I predict he will be in title action again soon.

what else are you going to say, you both had same notice, this was an eight rounder not 10 or 12 so weight loss issue is questionable dont forget lynes was training for 6 rounds, and in pre fight run up you were confident you were in the shape of your life???
Colin sometimes looks a million dollars and sometimes like he'd sooner be somewhere else when he's in the ring. I really admire his fortitude; he comes back from adversity and tough losses very well. On his 'A' game he is a very capable boxer who hardly puts a foot wrong. Bradley needs to train for the very best Colin Lynes otherwise he'll be countered to bits. Pryce is still a decent fighter as well; with no excuses next time we should be in for a good fight.
Pryce got a questionable decision last time out and everything was done for the same to happen this time. Lynes fight was not as close as scores suggest. Time to hang up gloves me thinks. Rematch is not gonna happen and I reckon colin will be challenging for honours again come the summer.

i won the lomax fight hands down, fair play to lynes he won the fight, but the notice with weight for fight etc suited him more,im coming down from a high weight to box im natrually a big guy and with 3 days to drop half a st took its toll.im confident rematch will happen and then i cant make any excuses,CELERYGOLF,not gonna reply to you again cause you been a idiot in past.
I was actually there and watched the fight. I thought it would be very tough for Lynes on his welterweight debut. Pryce is a good, tough fighter. But Lynes won 5 rounds clearly, maybe 6, Pryce won 1, 2 at most with maybe 1 even. I had Lynes 6, Pryce 1, 1 even. That fight was never as close as the scorecards suggest. The ref was being kind to Pryce. Lynes has been stitched up one to many times and I thought he was going to be again if the fight was close. But it was so clearly a Lynes victory the ref couldn't give it to Pryce.
As for Pryce saying about the weight issue, I believe he weighed in at 10.12 well over the agreed limit. Lynes found out late it was an 8 rounder against Pryce when it was meant to be a 6 rounder against someone else. If anything it looked like to me Lynes was being set up to lose. Gotta take your hat off to Lynes beating a good fighter like Pryce after moving up a weight. He looks a different fighter at welterweight. Much stronger, fitter and confident. He caught Pryce with a cracking bodyshot in the 6th I believe. I reckon Lynes can challenge for another title easily. He lives the life and is in great shape without many miles on the clock. I think Pryce can still mix it at Lightmiddle, still got some fight left in him. Always liked him, seems a nice bloke and derseves another title shot. That match up wouldn't have looked out of place for the British Title. I'm confident Lynes would do the job again if there was a rematch.
I think if you listen to the way Tibbs is talking about Lynes and we know Tibbs says it how it is, he thinks he can win another title.
Finally I must say it was a really good show, with some good competitive fights.

lyness is a good tough fighter & yes you have the ability to beat him but on this occasion you didnt. you both took a risk & with no tv or title why would he want to risk another fight v you??

bradley dont be dissapointed , lynes has lost some close ones and bounced back, with hindsight you shouldent have taken fight , but as always needs must as they say, keep fit and your chance will come again, cant see a rematch unless some kind of title, and surely you wouldent want to fight at welter again ?

Not that it makes much difference, but the score was 78-76 to Lynes not 78-77. Good win for Lynes though. Really impressed with Crolla in the main event, he looked class.
Some pretty harsh posts here. Full credit to Bradley for coming back on here after a defeat and putting his point across. I'm stunned that anyone can think that losing to Lynes should spell the end of a career. Lynes is a quality fighter who has still got plenty left. Yes his performances are up and down, but on an up night Lynes is an excellent boxer.
Bradley's one fight off beating Lomax whose being built up as a main event fighter over in another thread at the mo. There's barely an easy fight on his record in 6 or 7 years. Wouldn't do any harm to drop the level of opponent to get a bit of confidence back before making another run at things. Just as an example is Brian Rose any more deserving of a shot or an eliminator (no disrespect to Rose intended) but does beating Lee Noble really warrant being any more in the mix?
