Mario Kindelan. If only...

Post by jessi »

If he had turned professional how successful would he have been ?

World amateur gold medalist 3 times. Olympic gold medalist twice !

how would he have got on with a peak pacquiao, de la hoya, and mayweather junior ?

sorry if a simular thread has been done in the past.

He was super talented but he was an anatuer for so long, I think he might of struggled to adapt to the pro game. I'm sure he would of been a world class fighter but I'm not sure if he would of got to that elite level he did in the Am's

what even if he had turned pro at say 25 in 1996 ? mind you he peaked as an amateur between 1999 and 2004. he was born in 1971 by the way, so is a simular age to oscar.

I'm sure you don't need reminding it doesn't always work like that. Its an interesting one though he's fairly pleasing to watch for an amateur,.

You don't become a two time Olympic champion if you are no good, but somehow I aint convinced Kindelan would have made it to the very top as a Pro. Just not sure if he liked fighters who put on a pace.

i know what you mean, but he slowed the amateurs down, i know when khan beat him the pace was fast but that was his last fight, but he had an art of controlling the pace normally. think he could of taken that to the pros.

With the right management, Kindelan would have went all the way.
