No chance - Big John gets a bad press because of his physique, he is solid, fast hands and good boxing skills - I think he will outbox Larry O over a spirited 12 rounds. Larry O is a good fighter and improving but John McDermott is battle hardened and can go the distance - we don't know if Larry can - I think he is going to suffer from Bruno style stamina problems in the later rounds and will come apart after a promising start.
I tell you what though - doesn't Larry look damn sexy on that black and white photo on the boxrec opening page, I can't stop staring at the photo and I'm straight!
If I was a woman I would stalk him into hiding under his bed!

IMO this goes one of two ways - very short or all the way.
Either Larry - who we have to assume is going to start at 100mph - takes John out early - which has not been done recently but has been done - or this goes the distance. Now John looks the favourite for a points nod, since he's been there and Larry hasn't, but Larry is improving every fight, and John doesn't always come 100% mentally or physically prepared. Against Williams and Fury he failed to finish his opponent when he had chances to do so...

Agreed Matthew
If Larry doesn't take McD out early then I see McDermott's experience and skills taking over and him winning the fight over the distance or maybe even a late stoppage, but I can see Larry blasting McD out early, if he starts fast and lands a few big punches it'll be interesting to see how McDermott takes them and if he will throw back or give up! Intresting fight and I see it being a good one

For me, its a good match of styles that is good enough to headline... silly really if it ends up being for the C'Wealth since it basically means the winner leapfrogs Fury who beat Mcdermott twice (1-1 but you know what I mean)... if McD wins thats farcical, Fury should get the immediate shot at the winner assuming Chisora is tied up with bigger things.

I've had a small interest on John McDermott at odds of 21/10. I view this as a 50-50 fight and, like others have said, if Larry does not get him out of there in the first 6 rounds I only see one winner.

For me McDermott's greater ability and experience wins this fight on points.

Where are these Price's?
If Larry aint got John out of there within the 1st few rounds then i see John doing as he please and winning mid round stoppage.. Mark Potter is a Animal The sparring John has been having has been Great to watch non stop from start to finish and at a serious pace....
