They are really doing the business at the moment. This is what they shown since September:

Sturm vs Lorenzo
Tyson Fury vs Rich Power
John O'Donnell vs Terrence Cauthen
Erik Morales vs Willie Limond
Carl Frampton vs Yuriy Voronin
Shane Mosley vs Sergio Mora
Felix Sturm vs Giovanni Lorenzo
Lucian Bute vs Jesse Brinkley
Danny Green vs BJ Flores
Sergio Martinez vs Paul Williams
Carl Frampton vs Gavin Reid
Evander Holyfield vs Sherman Williams
Thierry Carl vs Danny McIntosh

Plus all the world series of boxing shows and all repeated regularly. I am a happy customer!

Sho box is meant to be monthly!

So we are getting 3 decent live bills a month for 7 quid, I pay over £40 for essentially just Sky Sports; where all I get for my money is 4 live shows, plus ringside. With an additional £15 quid every ppv.

Premier is very decent value in comparison.

it certainly does seem good value to me , unfortunately it doesnt to my other half , she thinks i already pay too much for sky sports and ppvs on both sky and primtime so she wont allow me to have premier unless i cancel sky sports , i cant put my foot down about it while im not working as we already shell out £84 per month to sky

I'm only subbing for the boxing and I'm very pleased with that line up and at the right price too.

Well done PS and keep them coming

A definite improvement in output — I just hope they keep it up because there has to be an option to Sky if UK boxing is to be healthy.

Considering I read 14,000 watched Cotto-Margarito on Setanta, I don't see how these channels can be profitable. Looks to be getting consistent amounts of events and some interesting ones though.

i wish they would replay holyfield-sherman williams and green-flores and martinez-williams.

They seem to replay the first shobox and bute-brinkley and mora-mosley every 2 minutes but never those fights.

I dont quite get the world series. Is it amateurs or pro's?

That Holyfield show should be essential viewing for all promoters and broadcasters. If you ever want to learn what NOT to do, look at that show. Horrible cabaret acts, fat listless heavyweights, thoroughly depressing. (None of this was Premier's fault, by the way.)

I recorded the Holyfield show live on the night. Sat down got through the undercard (ordeal) then the programme finished before the main event!

Same thing happened to me with Morales/Limond I've still not seen that fight I've seen the undercard though....

The info description needs to be more detailed it's usually just. shobox next gen or Martinez/Williams etc

Frustrating, isn't it. These days, if I get the option, I prefer to record a rerun, just to be safe — not so bad if there's a rerun the following morning. Otherwise I record the programme after the fight, as well — when I remember!

Premier sports are worst than Sky in this respect - although Manual Recording on the Sky+ is the ticket out of it.

To be fair to PS though, they do repeat a lot, and its often a full repeat - unlike the big US shows on Sky who will often omit the undercard if its a long fight with a good saturday fight night also - they'll show that over the US undercards.

I do this too - although I've had some explaining to the missus to do when that programme has happened to be 'Aerobics Oz Style'

I do think they listen to people. I don't know actually if I like that or not - successful TV companies seem not to.

A couple of examples.

I recently emailed them asking about the possibility of getting McIntosh vs Karl - I wasn't even sure if it would be on French TV but kind of guessed that it would be! I don't think a relatively unkown British fighter, fighting a unkown French guy would be on the "wanted" list for Sky etc (which is why I emailed them) - and low and behold. Shown.

I (sorry guys) did the same for Holyfield vs Williams (cause I was getting fed up of repeats and no new action so wanted to see if they were still involved) - and low and behold it was there.

Even when it comes to repeat showings, I missed Limond vs Morales so recently asked them if they could repeat instead of the constant showing of Brinkley vs Bute - and now look - they've started to repeat that. I even wrote to them (they must hate me!) about their unclear EPG when it comes to the world boxing. We are not sure if its a repeat or not.... and they wrote back saying they would clear it up - and they did!

Very personable replies - sadly I think due to complaints about cancelled Blue Square games they've stopped people writing on the wall - but I would thoroughly recommend emailing them. Please be realistic with the requests though, they are on a shoe string budget and have other sports to accomodate (loads of requests on the FB for Nascar, which they've delivered) - I would maybe look at asking about Telefutura, Telemundo shows, more Aussie Boxing and European boxing.

Sonsowski vs Dimetrenko would be one I might email them about! If you do try to, try and justify it in terms of why it is a good thing etc. Not just "lets have Pacquiao vs Mosley" - but like highlight that it might be cheap, popular fighter etc.

Yeah I think you've got the technique correct there Glyn, record the live broadcast and the first re-run afterwards and hopefully I'll catch the main event!

Not exactly Stu, I've missed Mosley/Mora, Limmond/Morales, Bute/Brinkley ( caught that one in the end), when I've recorded the repeats and it hasn't said undercard on the info..

I've managed to get Bute vs Brinkley and Mora vs Mosley loads of times - sometimes its on their EPG as "Boxing" - the one they show most is O Donnell vs Cauthen though.
