Weigh in video is up on FW's website:

John McDermott - 18st 11

Larry Olubamiwo - 18st 6 (10oz)

Larry looks in top shape and McDermott looks himself. ;;-)

It's hard to rule out McDermott because he#s done fairly well when he's looked awful, but this looks doubly bad for him. I don't think I've seen him in much worse shape. Larry to dominate him, for an early KO.

I'd go along with that

It`s a pity John cannot get in top shape as he has decent boxing ability, but never looks good. think Larry will blow him away in 4 or 5. :box:

I stopped reading too much into John's appearance years ago.You simply cannot do 12 rounds at title level if you are as unfit as he looks! Its a mystery why he looks so bad when he is obviously a super fit bloke.

He has a really weird body shape as well.

Since this fight was announced I thought McDermott would outbox Olubamiwo (sorry Larry!) But after finding out the weights I think Larry's ambition and drive just might offset the skill differential, with McDermott seemingly unmotivated.

I'll still say that McDermott will win by decision, but Olubamiwo's punching power is a lovely asset for him, and could end the fight at any moment.

So hedging your bets!! I think Larry will knock him out in the 1st or 2nd if he loses then it's retirement time.

If I was going to bet I'd probably go for McDermott decision and hedge it with Olubamiwo early KO. :TU:

if larry jumps on him early it will go the same way as skelton/macdermott. if larry connects big early then johns confidence will go along with his legs.

If either fighter loses they can still make decent money fighting the likes of Price, Dallas & Towers in fights they could win. I don't see why either should retire just because they lose this fight.

Well i've just stuck some money on Larry to win outright - its at 1/2 i reckon its a fairly safe bet.

I'm going for John McDermott (though I haven't seen just how out of shale he looks!) I think his experience will win it for him he's got some decent boxing skills and if he doesn't get involved and keep to the boxing then a can see a late stoppage or competitive decision. That is if his head is in the right place!

I don't. I think it's never a safe bet when you are betting against the better boxer.

Interesting fight - with Fury making hard of McDermott will be interesting to use this as a benchmark for Big Larry - thinking a dull fight with McDermott outboxing Larry and winning by points but still just a guess!!!

McDermott knew Larry would go for him from the off. Fought fire with fire and over early doors.

Larry isnt technical enough at the mo,he relies too much on his raw power.
