Didn't watch it closely but I think it was closer than what the judges had it..?
Hope Theophane faces Gavin now instead of vacating...

Looks like theopane might vacate
If he's going back to the US 'cos he wants a world title shot, then that's probably for the best because I'd fancy Gavin any day of the week.

More proof that Daws is what I taught he was. Overrated. Bad night for Hennessey both of his fighters who were title holders lost.

Overrated by who?

He was a decent British champion. Who said he was better?

Craig Watson wins British title against John O'Donnell

Post by nigeltsport »

Craig Watson achieved the result he was hoping for and with it won the Lonsdale Belt as he became the new British Welterweight Champion at Wembley. He beat his old foe John O'Donnell convincingly with a unanimous points decision to avenge his controversial loss against the Irishman back in 2009.

Just back from wembley.

To sum up, Watson really deserved the decision but O'Donnell is far too big for Welter, making weight killed him and he needs to move up asap.

Tyson Fury in the best shape he's been in, cracking punch for the ko.

Still not sure how Phill Fury became a pro boxer, never mind undefeated in 8.

Daws won by a couple of rounds despite the knockdowns in my opinion.

Phill Fury is poor. Got lucky with a 2 round TD over William Warburton.

I thought the kid Ryder looked very good beating Louis Byrne on points, but could have stopped him
