according to boxrec, its eastman vs Arthur Abraham in germany in july.

Its from Sauerlands site. The card is topped by Sylvester vs Hakkar for the EBU belt and on the undercard there is Abraham vs Eastman and Tsypko vs Magee.

There's an interesting one (providing someone finds Eastman and it comes off). I've heard that Abraham is heavy handed but ragged sometimes. Is that true? His win over Ian Gardner was eye catching a few months ago.

Though has anyone tested out his chin and/or recovery powers yet?

Looks like the makings of a good fight IMO it's that old cliche the crossroads fight...up and coming powerful guy like Abraham is unbeaten against Eastman who will be out to prove he is not on the slide after a lacklustre challenge of Hopkins...should be a good one.

Arthur Abraham is very raw with lots of power but his defense is not that good.

Interesting... sounds different to the tight guard, fast jab, pop-shotting style of Felix Sturm. Maybe Abraham and him would make a good fight at some point... actually, they may be close enough on the ladder for it just now..?

I was thinking the same Manos, it seems a natural fight for me...unfortunately for some reason the Germans never seem so keen to get it on with one another. I am not sure what the reasons are whether political or not (i really don't know who is with who promotional wise) but you had Beyer/Ottke and the group of Heavyweights around but the matches never really get made.

Sturm V Abraham seems like a natural for the future...isn't it Abraham who has been badmouthing Strum and calling him by his real name in interviews? Or am i thinking of someone else?

Good point, you don't often see their stars fighting each other - it's always an American or European contender (usually good, admittedly). I think there was some talk, though, about Sven moving up to fight DM at light heavyweight before he retired. If I'm right in thinking, Ottke actually KO'd him in the amateurs and they were using that as a selling point... can't really remember, maybe this is all bullshit.

Svennie did KO Michalszewski as amateur, german TV showed it when there was a talk about making the fight.

The card looks to be very good (Haussler vs Sanavia will likely also be on it) so I wonder how ARD will show. They have never shown more than highlights of either Tsypko or Abraham. The main event will be Sylvester vs Hakkar so there is only room for one more whole fight, and if Haussler vs Sanavia is on that card as reported by Per Aake Persson, then my guess is that fight will be shown.

Big props to Eastman for taking on this fight, and in Germany too. This has surprised me pleasantly.

I'll be interested in seeing the betting for this one, I slightly favour Abraham. Not by alot but not too sure Eastman will KO him, which is probably needed.
