wladimir said on ringside he wouldnt go near holyfield or jones as they are shot basically.haye aint stupid he knows jones aint credible especially after his oz outing.

he could look at danny green, tarver, toney which could sell units.

i think adamek has fought much sterner test's then haye at heavy.

Adamek? Golota was a worse fight to take than Harrison and he's got Kevin Mcbride next...

But at least the McBride fight is a warm-up for something massive.

I don't think Adamek looked amazing against any of them personally. a wins a win I suppose apart from when it's against Harrison, Ruiz or Barrett apparently.

Don't think the board would have much choice - if this fights being made I think the US would be the most likely venue.

In hindsight, I think you're quite right.

Jones -v- Wladimir would be a slow painful beating for him, whereas Haye would just tear his head off rather quickly. :bag:

Haye turned down Hopkins as an opponent, because he had no credibility as a heavy. He WILL NOT fight Jones.

David will fight a credible opponent next. I'll take a bet with anyone right now that Haye's next opponent will be in the BoxRec top 20.

He's a world champion with a career ebbing away further by the day (if his retirement claims are to be taken at face value), every fight he has should be against top 5 opposition at this stage of his career.

One was his mandatory, who had already been paid step-aside money - he had to fight Ruiz or be stripped of his title.

I agree the Harrison fight was a disgrace.

I presume we're talking about the Roy Jones that got spanked in a round by Danny Green..... or is there some new up and coming HW prospect with the same name???

I can't believe this topic has got 40 odd replies, Haye's never gonna fight RJJ. They may be using the RJJ as fight as a "we've got other options" tactic in their current negotiations, but that fight won't ever happen........... if it does I'll never watch the sport again

Jones is shot beyond belief. He could hang in there against Ruiz when he still had some reflexes and speed, but against a very young, powerful and quick handed HW like Haye, its hopeless !

Got Jones looks so old it's untrue, he's aged so badly. What on earth has he done to himself to look that bad?
