What of Hatton's little buddy - James Bowes?

Post by harley_man »

I read a touching Ring article about Hatton's friendship with teenager James Bowes, who suffers from hydrocepahlus.

I didn't seem him at the Tszyu fight. Was it the 2 am start or have some bad times befallen the youngster?

But he didn't lead him into the ring as usual?

Ah, well, good to hear he's still Ricky's number 1 fan. Although, after that performance, he's bound to have challengers.

Thanks.

He was in the ring. And Sky interviewed him before the fight.

I think he helped carry a supporter flag around the ring just before Hatton's entrance.

Aha. Didn't catch it then on the Showtime broadcast.

Is he a lovable little bloke like the article portrayed? Are you folks in the UK as enamored with the feel good story like folks over here who've read about it?

Not that Hatton needed another nice guy angle; he's always come across as genuine.
