Lamb and mint is my favourite, certainly draw the line at Steak and cheese though.
How apt that a John Mcdermott thread should turn into a pie conversation, great win the otherday though.
418a Leytonstone High Road. The pies have a dark, crispy lid. They squirt gravy and grease into the liquor as you cut into them with the spoon.
The best pie mash in london and the cheapest, but i'm in n.z and talking about a different pie. Leytonstone pisses over all of them, manzies, cookies and kellys I love the leytonstone bad boy
Indeed. Went there today. The leytonstone one is head and shoulders above the rest.

As for 'Liquor' tasteless bilge - pour gravy on your pie and mash and be done with it!
You've clearly never had pie/mash. I miss it alot. Your northern and will never understand. It's the first thing i eat when I get back to London.
I have had pie and mash - frozen like but it was the cockney pie and mash and kwik save were selling them in boxes for 50p.
I bought about 6 of them and you know - they filled a hole but the liquer was nothing to write home about - it looks better than it tastes. Try a Greehalghs or a waterfields pie/pasty and you'll never bother with a cockney pie again!
Carlos the frozen stuff is shit - seriously - If your in London, check out 418a Leytonstone High Road - you don't need no gravy. They pull them out of the oven there and then. I had four today. I am a bit of a fat c**t.

Hmm - must give these Leytonstone pies a go. But I'll be shocked if they're better than the ones from Harrington's round the corner from me though.

Haven't been to Harringtons for about seven, eight years. Rarely go south. But, if i remember, it was definitely one of the better ones.
