If Haye has a tune up for Wlad

Let's just say that he fights Wlad in July and has a tune up, who should he fight?

It's only a tune up, so let's assume he wants a low risk fight, so put Povetkin, Chambers and Chageev to one side for now.

If you were his promoter, who would you match him with?

Roy Jones jr? Nah, if Haye fights Wlad in July then I would say to Haye, don't fight anybody. If would have to be low-risk, and after Haye's last opponent, two pushovers on the bounce wouldn't sell. Sky would not sanction that, I don't think. Haye needs to keep himself in shape because July isn't overly far away.

David Haye on no account should take a tune up fight for any proposed fight with "The Klits" - too much money involved - the money being talked about is obscene - why take any risks.

I dont think David would get beat in a tune up - but he risks injury and any sort would scupper his chances of a mega fight.

The promoters could apply to the governing body for dispensation to fight at another weight if all parties agree. I believe Heavyweight is the only category where there is such flexibility.

I'm pretty certain, there is no rule stating a minimum weight for a fight at any weight. Jones weighed less last time he fought at heavyweight.

Jones did actually weigh-in with trainers and sweat suit on.

Like when SRL weighed in for LaLonde he wore a tracksuit and had weights in his pockets, he said his true weight was just under 160lbs that day.

I used that fight as a well documented example of someone using weights in their pockets to increase their weight.

i still think it's a lottery for haye at heavy even tho these guy's have been about & past there best,they are still a danger to haye imo.
