I believe that's just the BBBofC's way of doing it now, it's the same rule in some states I believe. I seem to remember California rules being different to most other states, there was a mixup on a card I watched last year where the referee wasn't sure.

They always score the incomplete round. But I think that's the fight I meant. The referee seemed to have some confusion?

That ref didnt seem tae know the rules it was a pretty ridiculous fight. But i think Bailey and Ouali topped even that for mentalness(if that's a word?).

As I understand it the logic is that it's a draw because there is no winner, while No Contest implies that there hasn't been a contest. Technical Draw is the phrase used by the British Board and the European Boxing Union.

While i agree its an improvement i hve to say i agree with the op , imo if its under 4 rounds completed it should be a no contest , it then doesnt appear on someones record rather than it having a 1 in the drawn section , i know if i was the fighter i would prefer it to be rules a no contest , maybe one of our resident pros may share their view , but yes it is definately an improvement on how it was before .
