I have a vague recollection of someone (Oliver??) suggesting the forum chip in to raise an amount (100k i think) to take over the organisation and make it credible. A bit like the way the non league club was bought by a syndicate (Ebsleet I think it was). The forum couldn't have done much worse than the state the WBU was in at the time, well, raising the money might have been an issue but other that

The 'new' WBU is now a German based organization. They just sanctioned a heavyweight 'world' title fight last weekend. Gene Pukall is now the WBU (and WAA) world heavyweight champion.
