On Packey McFarland's page, it looks like the records of some opponents need to be updated. Their ratings seemed unusually high for their records, so I started checking their own pages.
Young Ahearn is listed at 0-1 coming into their 7/3/1911 fight, but according to Ahearn's page, he had already gone 14-5-2.
Similarly, Al Dewey is listed at 2-1-1 before his 10/30/11 fight with McFarland, but looks to have actually been 8-1-2.
Tommy Ginty, 0-0-1 on 11/4/11 on McFarland's page, but 5-6-2 on his own page.
And so on (probably).

That isn't an error or glitch, newspaper decisions don't go into the totals of a boxers record, or opponent's record. They are subtotaled on the page of the boxer.
