Nothing gets the board more hot under the collar than the Fab 4 debates…
So, in 1997, after Duran lost a close decision to Camacho, Hector stopped Ray Leonard.
If Duran had been given the nod against Camacho (and many thought he may have deserved it) how would Duran-Leonard IV have gone?
Does Duran even the series?
Not to be taken too seriously but...

I think at that particular point, perhaps Duran could achieve the same result as Camacho. I remember watching it and being amazed how easily Leonard folded as I didn't really rate the Camacho of that time.
The Duran of that time was largely fighting on memory, going through the motions but I thought he beat Camacho and also Paz in their first fight.
I think I remember reading that SRL bought the rights to both that fight and his loss to Norris as he didn't want either televising again.

It's a good question.Ezzard wrote:Nothing gets the board more hot under the collar than the Fab 4 debates…

Leonard was arguably even more shot than Duran & like you, I too was amazed how he crumbled at the hands of the light hitting Camacho, so it would probably have ended with Duran winning on points or even late(ish) TKO.

Never seen Leonard versus Camacho. Never will.
I turned off the Terry Norris fight.
Never seen Hearns-Barkley II as I knew the result and couldn't take sitting through it.

Barkley certainly seemed to have Hearns' number & I just can't understand it.Ezzard wrote:Never seen Leonard versus Camacho. Never will.

Some may argue that the first fight was a fluke (I don't btw), but the second one was just strange.
Nobody ever out-boxed Tommy Hearns, especially someone as slow as Barkley was.
Tommy spent years out-boxing far better fighters than Barkley & out-punching bigger punchers than him, but he just seemed to fall under Barkley's spell.
