Paolo Vidoz. He won a SD, he also picks up Hoffmanns IBF intercontineltal belt. He must now face Sprott within 120 days. Sprott purse will most likely be much smaller than it would have been in the Hoffmann fight.

How the hell does Vidoz manage to drop Hoffman when guys like Krasniqi and Vitali couldnt budge him??

Well done to Vidoz, always great when the late minute replacement cause such an upset....

So Vidoz is EBU champ, two days after Audley who beat the crap out of him in Sydney, stinks the place out in USA...

Ceratinly adds more strength to Valuevs claim as a good heavyweight

An out of shape, undertrained Vidoz beat up, outpointed and Floored Hoffman, while Vitali couldnt floor him. And this is the same Vidoz that trained hard and was in shape and couldnt budge Valuev even when landing flush to his chin and jaw. Valuev broke his jaw and ribs with his jab.

Yep, Valuev is much better than most people give him credit for. And he is still improving fast.
I can see him getting a belt within 12-18 months.

I was just going to say this, Valuev's win looks much more impressive in the light of this, he couldn't even make a dent in valuev.

Yep, I have possibly been Valuev's harshest critic but if you have him in the top ten now I wouldn't argue - he has beaten the European champion.

Looks alot better now.

What do you think will happen between Sprott and Vidoz.

I think Sprotty would have had a much better chance with Hoffmann, for all his size Timo isn't that strong nor is he much of a puncher, and in a straightforward boxing match Sprott can be pretty good. Vidoz is more of a Matt Skelton-style bruiser who might be too strong for Michael.

Well I was wondering, somehow Israel qualifies as an EBU country these days you know although Roman Greenberg is still a long way from this top 10! I suppose that now makes the list:

Thinking about this still further, that's another 2000 super-heavyweight Olympian who has advanced further in his career than Audley Harrison, who won the f**king gold medal! First-round loser Calvin Brock has probably got the furthest of anybody so far, second-round loser Sam Peter is hot on his heels and making big waves, and now Vidoz, who Audley was good enough to bludgeon in the semi 5 YEARS AGO, is the European champion!

I quite like this top ten only a couple of changes I would make.

I would swap Krasiqi with Wlad.

I would also swap Vidoz with Sam.

If Maskaev is illegable I would move Sam, Vidoz and Williams up and place Skelton at 10.

I wouldn't argue with that. It's difficult to know where to rate Wladimir these days, he has far more good victories than Krasniqi of course, but that is tempered by the fact that he has looked so vulnerable recently, and you have to go on recent form I guess. And Samil Sam probably has beaten the better guys than Vidoz. Samil Sam v Vidoz is probably a natural fight now for Sauerland to make, assuming Sprott can be dealt with somehow.

I think people are over-estimating Hoffmann here. Don´t forget that in his last fight he got beat by Bob Mirovic, only to get the decision. Hoffmann seems to have good and bad nights.

Valuev needs to step it up.
