The only person to come out of this with any credit at all is Matthew himself, for gritting his way through a fight in which he was obviously going to be bullied.

GBP, Hatton Promotions, Boxing, all lose out :(

The fight was a disgrace. End of conversation.

Fair play to Hatton. Fully expected him to be stopped but he hung in there. I layed a bit of my bet off on betfair at the end of the 4th but still lost a bit.

Wow, I would have remortgaged the house...! :box:

Alvarez is a work in progress. He`s only 20 and will get better. He can`t hit that hard if he couldn`t put a welterweight down. Strange though as he does look strong and he looks like he could take a dig.

Put him in with Kirkland, now that would be a fight.

Makes me laugh, kellerman asking him when he'll be ready to take on the best. Even though he's just fought for a world title. Wasn't that what world titles were all about once upon a time? :witzend:

I think he hits hard, its just that he had to chase Hatton a bit and couldn't set his feet, he looks like his power comes from pivoting on set feet, he had to reach for a few of his hooks tonight.....I think there are fighters who he will look the business against, and others who will be a nightmare for him.....

I do feel his power is overrated and thats down to marketing and capitalising on his fanbase, which, ofcourse = $$$

Didn't really show or tell us anything, so we learn't nothing.
