Tucker from Pillgwenlly,Newport was sometimes mistakenly reported as Turner. He was Sparring partner of Jerry Shea and was in local exhibition bouts with Shea and Johnny Basham.Was also sometimes billed as Young Tucker.

Doesn't add up, Jack Turner http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer was already a lightweight by 1907 and Jack Tucker http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer was fighting a bantam in 1921 ??

IT DOES ADD UP.
DO not know who Jack Turner is or where he comes from but he is CERTAINLY NOT JACK TUCKER of NEWPORT.

Jack Tucker earliest bout 11-03-1916.
Frank Moody earliest bout 29-08-1914.
They both would not have been very old in 1907.
No weights given when Tucker fought Young Daniels.

Can confirm it was Jack Tucker(Newport) wto fought Frank Moody at Tregegar Hall, Newport on 13-01-1917.

Have seen records of Frank Moody when Jack Tucker (Newport) was reported as Young Tucker(Newport).
NO connection with Young Tucker of Bamber Bridge.

Jack Tucker had not fought for 2 years before he met Young Daniels in a tournament in Aid of Newport Nursing Institute for The Sick Poor.
