I remember hearing that for the Froch/Taylor fight the presenter said before the fight 'this one is worth the wait', with a smile on his face. Basically giving away the result to those who had managed to avoid it all day
I could have punched that fvcker out right there

Same! Phew! I did have a dodgy moment though. Turned my mobile on to check my fantasy football team as a mid afternoon distraction, and there it was, a text where the first words were 'Hatton-Alvarez'. But by instinct my arm shot out at a right angle as though I were holding a smelly sock and I escaped. Close call though.

I made it too, just about.

Just on a point of detail, Ian Darke (just fantastic as usual) referred to the fact that Bob Mee was also at "ringside" with them, but it sounded for all the world as though the team were broadcasting from an offsite studio.

I think Darke/Watt is the best commentary combo. I liked how Bob Mee seemed to get a bit more involved between rounds than normal and Woodhall is good. The only real gripe I had was with only seeing highlights of Daniel PDL, although that might have been better for many.

Yes, Bob was given a fighting chance this time — sometimes the intros they give him are a bit dead-end: 'What are the rules Bob? 'Same as last week Adam.' I feel sorry for him when they do that, he's on a hiding to nothing, nowhere to go, so to speak. But given the chance to actually take part in discussion, treated as part of the commentary team rather than some form of specialist 'bolt-on', he's got a lot to offer, as we know. When I've commented on cutting the size of the rugby ... sorry, commentary team in the past, I've never meant it on a last in/first out basis. Some of the recent additions have been good.

In regards to whether Darkie was fibbing or not, I have no idea. Must admit, I got the impression that they were ringside.

Crap they showed highlights of Ponce De Leon? I surrendered control of the tv straight after the main event finished deleting it in my wake. tbf I got in two Saturday fight nights and the Hatton fight in one day which is good going.

Haha a text what a nightmare, I made the mistake of clicking the BBc rss feed, spotted Haye/Klitchsko had been made and stopped my eyeballs reading any further down..

I realise I'm like a little dog with a pointless bone here, but fly a team of three out to LA and then take the Max Kellerman interview (bear in mind there is no time pressure given it was a highlights show)?. I'm not having that!

I thought that actually Chinny — wondered why Sky never grabbed a post-fight interview with Matt or Ricky or anyone else. Ooooh! I've just been told by someone who was there that they weren't there. Naughty Sky! Naughty Darkie! Unless my source was on the sauce and has it wrong ...

We can't complain about Sky's unnecessary expenses then complain when they don't send them out!

They should never have gone out for this one seeing as it was only agreed to be shown late on. Late minute flights are always more expensive!

Still can't believe the scores for the DPL fight

Read it was a bit of a robbery, tough to tell when you are only watching part of it. Didn't understand how excited they were about his opponent and couldn't help tutting when they compared him to Mayweather.

Not a biggie for me if they were or weren't to be honest, but silly to mislead people — just don't say anything, I would have thought that would be easy enough. Not a biggie, just silly.

I watched it live and thought you could make an arguement for a close victory for him but thought DPL had done more than enough. He clearly won the first 3 and at least the last couple so i've no idea how 1 judge had it 99-91
