Haye Vs Klit Venue

Any ideas - presume it will be a football ground in Germany?

How much were the tickets when they were schedules to fight at Schlake? Don't remember them being too expensive? :box:

I seen Schalke Stadium, Dortmund and Kaiserslauten being discussed.

Dortmund is within reach of Gelsenkirchen so I've reserved rooms in Dortmund for both weekends... No deposit or payment upfront
On laterooms.com a good few of the Dortmund hotels are booked up on 2nd July.

Lower tier center view to pitch were £50-£60 through Jon at Queensbury last time.

To be fair, £625 is, by boxing standards, quite reasonable for ringside seats. I think for the Harrison fight ringsides were about £900 and for the Maccarinelli fight £1,100.

I guess about £300 would buy you a great seat and for a massive fight like this that is about what I would be prepared to pay.

I guess if you are spending hundreds on flights, transfers, hotel, food and drink it's worth forking out a bit extra for a decent seat.

its mentioned on sky sports news that the fight might not happen in germany....wish it could be in the uk

where else can they have the fight in europe??? it makes perfect sense to have it in either the uk or germany , maybe the usa have found a site and came in with a massive money offer

I'd expect it to be Germany and i know Gelsenkirchen from what ended up as Klitschko v Chagaev so that would make it easier but maybe HBO will want it in the US to stump up the cash. MSG would be good i don't expect the promoters have the confidence to try and copy Top Rank and get Yankee Stadium though but that would be special.

The USA only has the cash from casino site fees, otherwise it would make more money in Germany.

HBO has deep pockets and a history of paying over the odds to show fights. The difference in what licence fee they will pay for a live event over a timed delayed screening could sway things.

Without a US boxer and so soon after dropping the Klitchskos? I'm not so sure, but if that was the deciding factor I think they'd just push back the start time. I think UK PPV will be more important, and that will be dramatically if the fight is in the US. Much more so than HBO would by showing the fight earlier.

It's not Schalke as it is busy both weekends with concerts. Won't be Dortmund as too much terracing

How about Wembley? Although can't see Klit giving away "home" advantage...

Be great in the sense that it is one of Europe's most expensive cities, in the height of summer and there would be no local supporters. Might as well go to Shanghai

Are any of the new stadia for euro 2012 ready in the Ukraine? Surely they'd love a glitzy opening event
