Entertainment wise, I think everyone would love to see that again! Well almost every1, don't think Billy Nelson could go through 12more round like that haha. Ricky took everything Martinez throw at him and still came back at him with better combanation and overpowered Martinez. To be honest I would like to see Ricky get past Layrea, wide points or maybe late stoppage, then target IBF Champion Fana. That is a very winnable fight for Ricky maybe taking place at the end of june.

He needs to go after a unification fight now IMO, he won't get a better chance! Martinez Is a tough fight for anyone and I can see him becoming champion again but hopefully not at the expense of Ricky
Re: anyone for burns vs martinez 2???
if ricky does get fana in the summer then a rematch might happen IF martinez wins that fight with cruz and burns hasnt moved up in weight.
3 reason why i think it should happen....
1. the money...a rematch would get decent money especially as i think showtime or another tv network would take the fight as the first one was a fight of the year candidate , american tv money might be too hard to knock back.
2. if ricky is the wbo-ibf champion then unless hes is badly struggling making the weight then he'd be mad to give up the titles
3. the exposure for this fight would be very big here in the uk and would get decent attention in the states

It's very possible for later this year. I'd imagine Burns has another fight first this summer if all goes well on Saturday. I'd be happy to see it, loved the first one.

Fighting Martinez would hold no fear to Ricky at all,in fact imo Ricky has improve loads since there fight and Martinez woulkd attempt to do the same thing again. Burns has the ability to quickly adapt to an opponents style and beat them thats what made him a world champion.Ricky will always have Romans number!

How about fighting Broner?? would gain alot of interest because of his record and he is quite a big prospect in America but going on his last performance Ricky would have no trouble

I wouldn't like to see him in with Broner on a GBP card in the US after the DPL fight. If he can tempt him over here then yesCamcas wrote:How about fighting Broner?? would gain alot of interest because of his record and he is quite a big prospect in America but going on his last performance Ricky would have no trouble

how about burns v juanma lopez? why not go one puerto rican better?
lopez is a WBO collecting guy who tends to move up in weight not long after winning a title...
