haha

How'd you beat Frost, just run like a bitch for 8 rounds and peck out the jab? I'm on about my 10th attempt to get beyond the 3rd now, despite landing the 75 body shots.

Orb! You gotta follow the instructions from your corner. Just move for two. For three rounds land 75 body shots. After that he's ready to go.

Right, I'm creating a gym called 'Boxrec Forum', search for it via the 'XBOX LIVE' section of the main menu

Just done it. I got fed up of Chris Rock counting me out. The problem was he kept catching me and when both red bars were on he was laying me out with one punch.

I just held the left stick at 9 o'clock for 7 rounds and alternated between jabbing and blocking, did it with only being knocked down once and then knocked his ass out with 4 uppercuts. Once I landed the 75 body shots in the 3rd but didn't realise you had 3 rounds to land them.

lulz, just creamed Hatton in 3 with Tommy Hearns.

I'll see if I can find the boxrec gym, I have my account set to offline all the time so workmates can't see when I'm playing at lunch, I think it screws things up. Keeps saying EA is offline.

It is not realistic, in the Amateur fights all my body punches actually scored points!

4 round, 3 minute fights and a point for each punch landed means it's nothing like ama fights. I got to about 75 points to 10 in the first round and it should have been stopped.

There's a weird bit in story mode where it says no rules, no wraps...and both guys are wearing wraps.

Anyway...I'm getting my ass creamed now. I streaked to 8-1 with 7 KOs but I'm now 10-7-1 and my manager keeps setting up stiffs but I'm still being KO'd. WTF is going on? As soon as I hit 20 in the rankings it all went pete tong.

I cannot for the life of me counter, I'm checking the post-fight stats and I'm throwing/landing ZERO power punches and the other guy is landing 180? They are making both bars go red in the first round, jeez I got stopped with one body punch...I'm being buzzed every 10 seconds despite my finger being on the right trigger almost the whole round. I'm jabbing and right crossing but just can't seem to win any more.

Right, where to start fella...

Countering happens when you block/lean as the punch is incoming. If you stay blocking/leant then you don't get the counter window. Got to time it.

Right Shoulder Button is power shots. Don't stand in front of anyone. Treat it like a real match, hit and move, hit, slip (90 degrees on the LS) hit again. Move again.

meh, I'm all right hand on the pad. I'm usign the buttons and find it almost impossible to coordinate using the left stick to move, nevermind time counters or flick it to slip.

it's starting to piss me off now. Some can I clowned in 3 rounds has ko'd me in 10 and looks like he'll beat me in the rubber match.

finding it hard to clinch when I'm stunned (which, sadly, is quite often), so I end up on my arse every time :witzend:

also...does anyone else find that the ref keeps getting in the way? can't see what I'm at! tried changing camera views etc and it still happens. Annoying.

I find it better to fight back rather than clinch. Also stops computer player throwing so many shots if you fire a few back at him :box:

Very impressed so far, though I'm blocking most shots with my face. As soon as my broadband is behaving again I'll search some of you guys out as I prefer getting beaten up by fight fans to 9 year olds from Shitsville, Wisconsin.
