For somebody not to go the Police, but instead make allegations on a boxing forum, beggars belief.

I heard a rumour that Flavour Flav’s originally wrote a song called ‘ABA is a joke’ with the chorus ‘Get up, git-git-get down, ABA is a joke in your town (wherever your town may be)’ only for Chuck D to say, “Aiyo, Flav, we’re supposed to be a subversive hip-hop group, giving the people truth through song to let them know what time it is. Like the black CCN. Telling people that the ABA is a joke is like saying the sky is blue or that water’s wet. We should change approach. People don’t know just how bad the police department are, let’s name and shame them instead.”

Cue a classic track. “Get up, git-git-down, ABA is gonna rip you off if you go to Liverpool town.”

This thread's interesting but as many have pointed out unless we get all the details presented to us, which is unlikely, we're only left with unproductive conjecture. I'd love it if both sides were to present their sides of the argument so that we could make an informed judgement on it, but I don't think that will happen and as a result we'll just get a load of 'what ifs', which could be unfair on everybody involved. Interesting that the ABA allegedly asked that the matter should be kept private though.

No Boxer has to be crb checked,they can box if they just done life for tripple murders rape kidknap drug pushin, it doesn't matter they are supervised. Boxers Caiden can't be a coach we understand but as for being a boxer its totaly different

Caiden Onfroy aged 22 turned to boxing 18months ago as a way to turn his back on a life of crime,since he started he has had 12 bouts and won 11,getting to the national novice final by beating his opponent in the semis by ko, in april last year he wanted to give more of his time to boxing and asked if he could become a coach,so we sent off his crb and waited, the week before the final last month the yorkshire secratary called and told us he was excluded from boxing and to throw him out of the gym,

This is the first ever case of banning a young amateur for having a bad criminal record,we know for a fact that a gb number 1 was in bother for serious assult and the England reps gave him charactor references, another boxer is active now after serving a manslaughter charge,
The ABA encourage us to work with bad kids and get kids off the street but yet they want us to push him back to the life he had before

,
since starting the sport caiden as kept out of trouble,he has a lovely baby boy to one of our female boxers and set up home with her and is in the gym 6 days a week,

we also work with community service and have people doing their hours at the gym, so what are the aba playing at,They have ruined a young mans life by stopping him reaching his goal

you sound like an unsavoury character yourself judging by the shifty way you contradict yourself and just because this claydon got banned you seem to want all boxers with a criminal record no matter how trivial banned.

We need to know the full picture. I dont wanna be hearing this "boxing was his only solution" bullshit.....the guy is young he has two arms and two legs he can work or read books too, and we live in one of the most prosperous ages for man. Did you know 120 years ago 100% of humanity that ever existed had never eaten a snickers bar?

First thing I don't want any boxer banned at all but if our lad as y not check the lot its only fair and he's done his time pal and his hours any way spoke in depth wiv him and instead of paying 250 quid for an appeal and waitin months on end he gunna stick his fingers up to the ams and join the pros as he needs to box, 11 w 10 is not a bad record and a novice finalist, still the ABA are wrong like they are most things just a lot ov overpaid ppl

i think the point steelcitys making is he HAS DONE THE CRIME AND HAS DONE THE TIME, so why punish him further and as for him being young, well shouldnt that be even more reason to give him a chance.
