In my job I have to visit around 8 houses per day. I meet some wonderful people and the educational level of them is from average and above. Last summer I visited a home of a 30 something Muslim woman. Absolutely delightful young woman, offered me tea or an orange juice as it was hot, kid's drawings on the fridge, toys everywhere and an averaging, lovingly, lived in home.
In her kitchen was a plaque on the wall which read
"This is my mess, I fought for it, leave it alone". We chatted about the summer holidays and she declared that the kids would "drive her mad". I know that feeling and sympathised with her. So you will, no doubt, understand that this is an ordinary, everyday, average, young woman who just happens to be a Muslim.
Another plaque on her kitchen wall, above the sink read
"In memory of the great Imam (insert arabic name), whenever you drink water please recite this prayer. (Fair enough if he is a good man in the community and deserves to be remembered) "Allah the great, Allah the merciful, Allah the wise bestows good wishes, good health and good fortune upon you....AND DEATH AND DESTRUCTION TO ALL THOSE THAT OPPOSE HIM"
Now, no one in their right mind would think that this well adjusted, average young woman would subscribe to the literal teachings of such a (shall we say dubious) holy book. However with over a billion Muslims in the world what kind of percentage do you think it would take to believe such fairy tale nonsense to get enough men to strap bombs to themselves and get on a bus or tube with no thought of their children or wives just the promise of an hereafter that they will never see.
And while your working that out, be my guest to search you tube for something as powerful in the opposite direction. I used you tube because it is a medium that is aimed at your level. I keep asking you and your ilk to read but you seem unwilling or incapable.

Ok, you visited a home of a muslim woman and because of your findings you are now an expert in the religon. Have you interacted with anyone Muslim for a worthy enough time? Do you have any friends that are Muslim (being as you acknowledge that there are millions which follow the faith). I do find it strange that a plaque read on the wall at this womans house to 'please recite this prayer in memory of an Imam when drinking this water' because the belief is that nothing is worthy of worship other than Allah. I also find it just as strange or more so that another plaque finished in reading "And death and destruction to those that oppose HIM" because Allah is not known as a being or a gender? Also, it is a sin and againts the true teachings of the religion to commit suicide so it is not beleived as you state that by doing so they are thinkingf a better here after life, infact the religion teaches that if you commit suicide your here after life will be in hell fire. And as you acknowledge that there are over a billion people who follow Islam are you saying that they all 'believe' that death and destruction should be placed on those that oppose Allah? How many doctors and surgans do we have in this country alone? How many people of other religions have these doctors treated and saved lives of those who are not Muslim?! Nah, your assumtion is wrong if as you say your using youtube as a medium because its my level as obviously my level is higher than that and your ignorance.
It's good to see your thinking about it at least.
Now try thinking slowly about this... Any idea why most religions condemn suicide? Come on think a little..... How many corpses do you know that contribute to a church?
The plaque wasn't written by the woman of the house. Hate to repeat myself but
think about it. It's a declaration of respect for an Imam who is considered worthy! I have no problem with that. In fact we could do with more of that. The problem is the prayer...like all prayers in the Koran it ends with DEATH AND DESTRUCTION TO ALL THAT OPPOSE HIM/US/ALLAH/MUHAMMAD. Try reading the Koran, believe me it will surprise you. It makes Mein Kampf look like an Enid Blyton book.
None of my research is done through you tube but I can't sit down with you and make you read so it's the only (limited) medium available.
Would you like a list of the books I have read? Would you like a list of the books you should read to rid you of this fairytale nonsense?
I recanted the tale of the Muslim woman because it is clear that not everyone in that, or any other faith subscribes to murderous intent. However it is the casual believer, and the regular church/mosque attendee that bolster the fundamentalists amongst them, whether they intend to or not. And for what? A fairytale for which there is absolutely not one shred of evidence and countless thousands of tons of evidence against.
The biggest threat to this planet is faith based. Don't believe me? Wait until Iran gets a nuke that will reach Israel.
If you really want to disprove the existence of Allah and God the only books you need to read are the Koran and the Bible. Not even the most foolish among us could subscribe to that nonsense if they read it instead of quoting it. Come on man do I really have to hold your hand and lead you through it?
By the way, if you like your head on your shoulders don't ever suggest to a Muslim that Allah could be female!
Oh and by the way I do have Muslim friends, some who now question their faith but are scared because of the consequences of apostacy (look it up). I also have Iraqi friends, who wept at the "not in my name" marches and could not believe that people who knew nothing about them were prepared to condemn them to Saddam Hussien.
Your problem is, like most people, you look at something and form a judgment within the first ten minutes, then all the evidence in the world will not convince you otherwise.
Leave you tube alone, you will learn nothing. Grow up and educate yourself.
